This is a great headtorch, bought at a very cheap price. I was looking for something in the £30-£40 range, however this one seemed to stand out, with better battery life, brightness and light modes than the others I looked at, for a fraction of the cost, so I thought it was worth a gamble.So far I've not been disappointed. The headtorch tilts downward so you can position the light where you want it on the floor in front of you. There are spotlight modes with different brightness settings, as well as a red flashing mode, should you need to draw attention to yourself and a floodlight mode which is useful for seeing a wider range (although much less far into the distance). It's really bright and the battery has been great so far. It's quick and easy to charge without the weight of external batteries. There are handy blue lights that show whether a recharge is needed.I would recommend this highly. Of course it can't compete with the high end if the market (£60+) so if you need something really special, you will need to pay more. However unless you're going caving or needs something outstanding for work, this should do the job, for everyday use. I bought mine for running on dark winter evenings and hopefully it should get me round the all night ultramarathon I want to enter!

You can't really go wrong with this head torch for the price. I'm an avid hiker and occasionally walk rights of way paths through forests and fields in Somerset, both day and dark evenings. I do carry a professional 5200 lumen search light strapped on my back for proper use, but while walking, this head torch is perfect for that. I usually have it on the lowest white (flood) setting and is perfectly adequate to see in front in pitch black. The high (spot) beam is actually very impressive, better than I anticipated. The only down side is the red light. It's too bright for what I wanted. I wish it was much dimmer for stealth use or it had 2 settings, ie, normal and ultra dim for close up use. I've used it for about 6 months now and it's still going strong, however, the angled bracket has worn away and now stuck in one position pointing down at about a 45 degree angle and won't hold up higher as it's become too loose. I don't really use the hands free operation mode where you wave your hand in front of the unit to switch it on and off. Shame about the flimsy loose angled bracket, just means you have to move your head more to pinpoint the beam.

Brilliant light despite being a tad more expensive but you have so many options it is amazing and worth it. It is also very light. I love the sensory option where you can turn it off putting your hand in front. Mind you, it can be annoying but if you are running or caring for horses that is spot on to avoid blinding them or someone coming to you.I have marked it down by one star as the light angle is not staying in place. I am going to fix it with Velcro but I should not have to given it is new. A bit disappointed on that point otherwise it is spot on for the job.PS: rechargeable like a mobile via USB.

The media could not be loaded. Ace torch for the price. I’ve purchased different head torches in the past 3-4 times more expensive than this and they don’t have the features this one does. It has a sensor mode which costs so much more in the branded models so I’m chuffed to finally be able to have one with it. You just wave your hand in front of the torch to turn it on or off while in this mode. When it isn’t in sensor mode you can use it just like a normal head torch, having the light different levels of brightness depending on what you are using it for. I’ve put some videos on of the different modes to show you, they were recorded in a pitch black hallway. I like the fact I can charge it with my power banks via a USB cable through the day so they have enough juice to last me until sunrise for my wild camps.Anyway I’m waffling on! I bought this headset torch for our grand-daughter who is doing voluntary work overseas where electricity is only available for about 6 hours each day. It is ideal because it can be charged from a charger, power bank or solar charger and the battery has a long-life. She cannot have a headset or torch using batteries because replacement batteries are not available.The headset is very bright and can be set to work in 6 different modes. The high-power and dim spot modes are a bit bright for reading or close-up work, but the two flood modes are ideal. I also like the flashing red mode as an alarm if she finds herself in danger. Close-up work and reading is aided by the tilting head and being hands-free is very convenient.The wave-sensor seems a good idea but I wonder if close moving objects might be problematic. The headset is light, comfortable and has adjustable Velcro. The torch body is very compact unlike an earlier-model headset that I use, making access into tight areas much easier.

Brilliant! Used this for a trail running event.Worn over a thin hat and didn’t know i had it on.Brightness options were fab, the wider angle was good for the slower uphills to gauge the path edge and the focal beam was great for the down hill sprints... i could see well ahead allowing suitable navigation while still getting enough surrounding light to assess the ground.The battery get on keeping on.Very happy.

Had this for 2 years and I love it. Very bright. I got it for evening dog walks and I wear it around my wrist because I am worried about pointing it at face height at people!Seems to charge relatively quickly. Battery lasts several weeks when I only use it 30mins each evening. It can die suddenly so don’t ignore the warning sign i.e. that it has dimmed a little and is no longer scorching your retinas.Only downside is that the rubber ‘cap’ for the charging cable point snapped off, so now I take care in heavy rain. But so far it’s fine.

Muy contento con el producto adquirido, la iluminación es muy potente y permite ver todo el camino mientras corres por la montaña. Es muy ligera y eso también es muy positivo, no molesta en absoluto. A parte tiene muchos modo de iluminación, aunque yo me he acostumbrado a usar únicamente uno para las rutas que suelo hacer.
