Quick, easy breakfast for the backcountry
On a recent trip to Alaska, I tried several BaseKamp meals. We ate them on gravel bars on a little southeast steelhead river. I boiled the water with my Camp Chef Stryker. This worked pretty well, except some of my traveling companions did not bring plates and utensils. It was fun watching them eat cheese lasagna off their pocket knives. Remember the utensils, people.I wanted to try the muesli to see if I would like to use it on a future trip, and bought it from Amazon. This muesli was pretty good. Simply boil the water and pour it into the bag and knead the bag. Ten minutes later, the hot breakfast was ready. It has a nice smooth texture and a tasty blend of ingredients. The bag says two servings. And yes, there is enough for two people. Recommended.

The texture and flavor won’t disappoint
Very tasty. It has like a cream base flavor, comparable to a sweetened condensed milk flavor, which I’m particularly fond of. The grains are wonderfully textured, and has a nutty feel. This is a high end camping meal for sure. This is much nicer compared to my MRE’s I’ve learned to use. The Muesli hits the spot for a sweet snack or a hearty breakfast. Packaging has the prep times blanked out so it wasn’t intuitive, but it’s basically hot cereal, so how hard can it be.

Flavor is really great. Extremely easy to make. Filled me up and I stayed full, which was really nice.
