Anatomy Essentials: For Dummies (For Dummies: Math & Science)

This is another first year of nursing school purchase for me and I still have this in my final year. I didn't waste a cent buying this it was worth all

Even if I was not an Allied Health Student, this book would impress me because I think that the Dummies series of books are extremely well written and easy to understand (especially when it comes to book in the medical fiend, where it seems like medical terminology is another language all together). ANY book in the Dummies series is going to be an asset to your library, regardless of the subject, and this one is no different.

Very basic information, presented simply. Doesn't go into great detail, but covers the basics. Simple, straightforward sketches and diagrams - I would like to see a lot more pictures and diagrams.

Great learning tool for medical professionals

Great pocket quick-reference, but do understand it is an overview/summary of anatomy. Not intended to be a "Cliffs Notes" version of course material.

I got this book for my husband. He was really glad to get it because it had a lot of information in it he needed to know. He was injured in a car accident, and he wanted to know whether some of his symptoms resulted from that or something else. They resulting from that--something he learned from this book!

Helped with backing up the basics from a lecture perspective thanks to an instructor who was a brilliant scientist but a less than brilliant lecturer. Much past that, however, this book didn't cover all the essentials and has more "Jeopardy-Type, Stuff You'll Never Need To Know or Use" info than anything else. But for the price, it was a decent add-on to my standard textbook & study guide.

Will be great for my daughter going into nursing yet didn't have the chance to take anatomy in high school.

Bought when going through my nurse training

Great seller! But the book itself I ordeted because I wanted to learn more abput my body and my injuries and so on. It's hard to read. Its dumbed down, as in small descriptions. As far as understanding the material....this book is deffinately meant for ppl who are in school and need a coles notes version of the topics. It is NOT normal human friendly. The price was good but upon wanting to return it, the shipping fee on my end was more than the book to send it back, so I kept it. I keep trying to read it.....its just not a basic book. Move on unless you are in school.

Not used as yet but needed extra information for a course and will do fine

I'm studying an online anatomy and physiology course and this has helped me so much during my first assessment. I still have a long way to go but I think I'd be lost without it. It helped me pass with merit :)
