Expensive, but good nutrition
We've used Rowdybush pellets since weaning off of the liquid diet. Our birds actually prefer it to the point that they ignore seeds, nuts & fresh foods completely. My biggest frustration is how the price swings wildly on Amazon depending on which size pellet you use. Being a simple extruded pellet food, whether from pet stores OR directly from Rowdybush the price per ounce is identical for ALL pellet sizes. But on Amazon I've seen a 300% swing between the small pellets & the medium! It gets VERY frustrating to see two sizes at under $3.50 lb and then see medium at over $10 lb for the same size bags! I will say that the price is most affordable with the 10 lb bags & larger.FYI: They don't go bad from the bag being open but they DO sometimes infest your house with the small flour moths. This risk comes with any grain product, but outting the bag into a freezer for a few days before you open it helps cut the chances down that you'll get any hatching...

First time I've found a larger bag
I have a Severe Macaw that came in to my parrot rescue when he was about 3 years old. He'd already been through 5 rehomings in his short life and I decided to keep him. He was overweight and I had no idea what his diet was like in all those homes, and when his avian vet did screening lab work much of it was abnormal. She suggested RoudyBush's low fat pellets. That was 6 years ago and his blood work values have normalized and he's lost some weight.Until recently I could only find this food in 44 ounce bags with an average cost of $9.00. I recently found Amazon now has 25 pound bags at a significant savings. The pellets smelled fresh when I opened the bag and there is no evedence of bugs or moths. I purchased this bag Nov. 5, 2018 and its "best by" date is April 8, 2020. This is another item I'll buy only from Amazon!

Exensive but Healthy
This has some thicker pellets and I might go a size down for our macaw nexy time since a lot of powder is left in her bowl. It is expensive but apparently healthy so worth it for our beauty. She also has never gottwn sick of it so I assume ahe likes it!

Wrong size pellet sent. Otherwise great product
It was ordered as medium pellets. The bag clearly states small! Not suitable. Not what I ordered. The product itself as medium was recommended by an avian vet. My amazon is too fat.

Received wrong product.
Received wrong product. Now I have to order more food and have this random extra bag of breeder food that I can't use for my parrots.
