Malt-O-Meal, Chocolate 36 Oz, Quick Cooking Hot Wheat Cereal - Single Box

The cereal itself is wonderful.....it's been a favorite of mine for more years than I can remember. BUT the pricing is absolutely insane! 3 times the cost than it should be....

I grew up on Chocolate Malt-O-Meal. And when they stopped selling in stores, I was so sad. It was one of my comfort foods, the kind that takes you back to childhood. So when I saw it on Amazon, I was beyond happy. The box arrived packaged in tightly wrapped plastic. When I opened the box and started to make the Malt-O-Meal, I could smell the packaging IN the mix. Worse yet, when cooked, I could taste the cardboard from the box. What a way to kill a childhood memory. I won't be buying this again. Lesson learned. Buy food items from stores so you will know if they are fresh or stale.

I bought these one day when I was feeling a bit nostalgic but was pleasantly surprised when I tasted them again for the first time in 40 yers. I did doctor them up with a little dark cocoa powder which made them even better. It was a fast hot tasty breakfast. My husband who free up on grits didn’t really care for them too much and they made his blood sugar go way up, so caution there.

It’s very good cereal possibly the best better than cream of wheat or other kind of Malto meal ! but it’s over priced ! And should be back in the stores ! I think it would make a lot of progress and selling in the stores . I would be happy if it was ! 😊

Received this in the mail and the seal was already broken. I amExtremely upset as the amount of money I paid for this item does not justify receiving contents I cannot serve my family safely. I would like someone to please contact me ASAP to resolve.

I love Chocolate Malt O Meal and have since I was a kid. Everyone knows you can no longer buy it in stores so I buy it with Amazon. So far I’ve had no problems. It’s a great product and I will buy it as long as possible.

My sons love this. I fed it to them when they were in elementary, middle school and high school. I would make it and get it just right where they could drink it with a straw. They never really liked breakfast foods. Since, they refused to eat before school this was great. We could always find it at Walmart.

Tastier than cream of wheat, faster cooking than oatmeal...just an all-around great hot cereal option. I fell in love with Malt-O-Meal in Colorado and can't find it on shelves in the DC area, so I'm very happy that I can buy it through Amazon.
