OtterBox SYMMETRY SERIES for Samsung Galaxy S6 - Retail Packaging - Melon Pop (Sage Green/Hibiscus Pink)

UPDATE: I bought this phone case in October of 2015, and it just now has started to fall apart after heavy use and many, many drops. I posted a picture of what it looks like now. My phone on the other hand looks like it was just taken out of the box, brand spankin' new! Not a scratch or dent on it. I just bought another one, added a picture for comparison of old and new!I've had this phone case for years now. Although the bottom gummy part is wearing out, I've never had an issue with the phone case. It has saved me from multiple possibly fatal drops and my phone has not chipped, scratched, or cracked in the slightest. Coming from someone that drops her phone AT LEAST once a day (on a good day) that's saying something! I plan on ordering a second because my phone still looks new when you take it out of the case but the case looks worn. I love that it's not as bulky as the other otter boxes either! It's perfect!

I've had this case for a little over 2 months now but I ran out of patience and I'm going to start looking for a new case. The back of the case is this smooth backing that offers literally NO GRIP, and it actually makes it even MORE slippery than having no case. If you place your phone on a table it will spin in circles and slide around. If your hands can fully grip the phone you can avoid this issue because the rubber provides the necessary grip. But I know many women won't be able to do this. If I try to hold my phone like that my thumb will have to fully extend and get tired. So if you hold your phone up, it will LITERALLY START SLIPPING OUT OF YOUR FINGERS AND FALL. I wish I was making this up :( To try to fix this problem I had to put a 3D sticker on its back for some grip, but that only helped a little.A few weeks ago I dropped the case on a tiled floor face down and while my screen remained intact, my home button broke. I have a tempered glass screen protector so good to know that works, but if I need to use the home button I have to use both my thumbs and hold it for it to register. I can see this case working for people with a good grip or people with not tiny hands, but I would still feel uneasy about having a phone case that will literally become an air hockey puck on a table. There are better otterbox cases out there in a similar price range.

I was taking a risk when I bought this version when I saw "Graphic". From their picture it looks like it is carbon fiber, but do not be fooled as I was. It is a blue and slate piece of plastic that does not look like the picture one bit. I opted for this version which was a higher cost thinking I was paying for the carbon fiber look, but I was fooled by the nice picture. I am going to return this for false advertising. I would accept it as me being a fool for taking the risk of it saying Graphic and not the actual material, but the Graphic does not even look close to what the picture shows!

The case fits snugly, is sleek, and has a good grip so it doesn't slide off if placed on my lap or on the edge of the couch. I have had this case for about 3 weeks now and the white color is still white and doesn't stain easily. The ports for your headphones and usb chargers give enough space where it doesnt interfere. Ive had this problem where i would have to completely take off my case if I wanted to put the aux cord in the car. I dont have that issue with this case. The only downside of this case that it is hard to press down on the volume and power buttons. If you dont mind giving that extra push for those settings then this case is overall, pretty good.

I drop my phone frequently-on the tile floor, once on the asphalt, once down the steps, and countless times on carpet I'm a cltuz- and this has kept it working well with absolutely no damage. I have a screen protector on as well, so I can't comment if it would also protect the screen in a fall, but there is a nice edge on the front to keep it from hitting the floor. If dropped on an angle though you're screen would be unprotected. It does take away from the sexy design of the phone, but it'll keep the resale value up or keep the phone protected so you can use it for a long time. My previous OtterBox had all the ports covered, this one doesn't but it hasn't made a difference yet. I always use a sandwich bag to keep my phone safe at the beach or other sandy areas anyway.

If you drop your phone ona regular basis this is a great case for you! It absorbs some pretty good drops/falls. I like that its slightly raised above the screen also instead of flush which gives added protection if it happens to land on the screen. Note that this is not for the galaxy s6 that has the screens on the side. My sister literally has broken her phone every two months like clockwork, but I gave her this case when she got her latest new phone and she has yet to need a replacement. Like any case it will add a little more bulk to your phone, this one slightly more than I would imagine an other would.

I ordered this case in January of 2019, and it lasted me until June 2021 when the rubber lining started to peel off the hard plastic. I had an otterbox defender case first and found that the symmetry case offers the same level of protection without being as bulky as the defender case. The defender case also started peeling on the back below the camera hole, which wasn't an issue with the hard plastic on the symmetry case. I would definitely recommend getting a symmetry case in combination with a glass screen protector.

I do not like most Otter Box cases, they are so big and clunky, but this line, is extremely solid, but does not add a large amount of size to my phone. The Symmetry series. I have an older phone, new to me, and love getting great cases so inexpensively. The colors are really pretty. The case is hard to get on and off, as it should be....and it holds the phone perfectly. I don't drop my phones, but it feels really well protected.

La compré para un Samsung Galaxy s6 ya que la que tengo para mi otro equipo (iPhone sE) quedó perfecta.Que puedo decir?El celular queda perfectamente insertado y protegido dentro de esta carcaza y los puertos de entradas para los auriculares y cargador tienen el espacio exacto.Los botones del control de volumen no son duros de pulsar y siento muy protegido el equipo con esta carcaza.definitivamente recomendable y la volvería a comprar sin duda si esta se daña.

I am ridiculously clumsy with my phone. Seriously, it's embarrassing.I bought this new case to replace my original Otter Box that I've had for nearly 2 years. It was looking a bit rough with wear. This one has been dropped 10 times so far from at least 3 feet off the ground onto solid surface floors (tile, laminate, linoleum). Not a single crack! I wouldn't trust my phone to any case but an Otter Box.

Came really fast. I am a clumsy human and tend to drop things a lot. This case has been great at protecting my phone and doesn't even appear to be damaged at all from dropping it yet like other cases I've purchased. It is also great if you have destructive pets that can smell expensive things and like to try to destroy them. I have a parrot (lovebird). All other cases have died protecting my phone from her. They fought the hard battle and have all lost. She hasn't even made a dent in this case so far. Between myself and my bird, this case has been great at protecting my phone. Great case. Would definitely buy again.

El único defecto que le encuentro es que para aplanar los botones de los lados se batalla.Lo compre a precio muy económico y por eso no la devolví, y porque tengo un bebé que lo agarra y así siento que esta mejor protegido, pero si me hubiera gustado mejor "fit" a mi celular.

Frustration free packaging indeed. The product was delivered quickly and is good quality. I was just disappointed it didn't come with a screen protector. It wasnt on the product listing but still for that price I would expect my phone to be fully protected. Otherwise it is a good quality product, not too bulky.
