A Super Sexy Art Book
I didn't know what to expect from this art book seeing the uneven reviews for it. But, I have to say that I absolutely love this book now that I own it. The paintings are plentiful, the book is large and printed really well and there are tons of sexy paintings of women in it.I don't own the other book in the Sex and Horror series yet. Though, I have it in my cart right now based off of seeing how rad this volume was. Ready to buy it right after I finish this review. So, I can't compare the two volumes at the moment. Also, I see quite a few reviewers complaining this book doesn't have enough of the horror accompanying the hot ladies. And while that may be true compared to other book, again, I have no clue. Well, I just couldn't care less because of how many bonkers and super hot paintings of women that there are in this art book. I guess with the title you expect equal parts "sex" and "horror." So, I get that. But, again, I'm not disappointed in the slightest :D.The painting that actually sold me on buying this book, which is shown in the screenshots above and also in one of my photos that I've attached to this review (I also added a disposable lighter next to the book for size reference.) Is the one of the naked lady and the goose. Hahaha! What an utterly bizarre painting! I love it and it looks even more awesome and crazy in the actual pages of the book.If you enjoy very well done artwork of years past, with page-popping colors, hot women wearing next to nothing or absolutely nothing at all. Well, then I cannot recommend this Sex and Horror volume highly enough. You really don't see cool artwork in this style anymore I don't believe and I love having a book full of it.I seriously hope that whoever is publishing these Sex and Horror books, that you please continue to release new ones. I'll definitely buy each new one you come out with.Oh, and, another plus for me with this book is that pretty much all the women in it are very natural looking. This beautiful artwork was done before everyone went insane with landscaping if you get my meaning. And I'm so much happier for that and prefer it that way honestly. This book, to me, is equal parts titillating, educational and most definitely inspiring as an artist myself as well.

Another excellent entry in the Sex and Horror series
I have all four volumes of this Sex and Horror series, which collects the magnificent art work of some of Italy's finest. Really great collection of this genre, fans of any horror art should take a look.

Great Coffee Table Book For Voyeurs
A Great Book for Voyeurs“The True History of Art” was my favorite section of this art collection. That may be because one of my favorite images in the collection is based on an 1859 painting by Francesco Hayes entitled “The Kiss.” I have a bronze three-foot high statue of that same piece of art sitting near my desk. It’s also very entertaining to see Fernando Carcupino’s interpretation of why the “Mona Lisa” is smiling her enigmatic smile. Rube Goldberg would have loved it. Eric Stanton was impressed enough by the Goldberg ideas to incorporate the style into his own work.Another section of this artist’s portfolio is a collection of “Internal Artwork” which are many landscapes resembling Augusta Rodin’s “Gates of Hell”—with lots of individual people going about their business in a larger landscape. One can’t help but study each segment of the over-all scene to see exactly what is going on. Everything is going on everywhere and there are lots of surprises to be discovered.I enjoyed this book-length portfolio very much and it was definitely a page turner for me. I had to use a magnifying glass to see the finer points of the black and white cartoons enclosed but that was okay because the reproductions were excellent and it was possible to examine them with a magnifying glass without them dissolving into unrecognizable dot patterns. The beautiful women were definitely more important to the artist than the horror aspects of his work. True horror addicts may be disappointed but admirers of beautiful, angelic women will be more than satisfied. The artist is also a master of depicting body hair. His skill at showing body hair is why he was regularly censored, but like Picasso, the artist wanted to show nude women as they actually appear.

Great entry in the series
This publisher continues to offerup for collectors some of the best of a European illustration genre almostcompletely unknown to Americans.Every page chock full of largelytaboo subjects(for their time) onthis side of the pond. Like theother volumes in this series, thisentry is well researched andBeautifully reproduced. Not tobe missed.

All Sex no Horror
Great art, but be warned. This book definitely has the Sex but it is very light on the Horror.

Horror? Not so much
Carcupino paints beautiful voluptuous women in a cartoony style, very cute and sexy, but there are only a handful of paintings that he did for horror publications. Most of the art in this book is in a humorous mode for men's magazines. I expected more art along the lines of poster work for scary movies and cover artwork for horror magazines/comics.

Not Sex and Horror
This book arrived just a short while ago, I waited 7 months for it and I'm very disappointed. It should be titled: The Art of Fernando Carcupino. Not Sex and Horror: The Art of Fernando Carcupino. Don't get me wrong, I love his art style and there's lots of naked women, but there's just a few pages near the back of the book that could be described as sex and horror, and only because there are monsters in the paintings. Nothing at all like the first two books in the series.
