Febco905111 Rubber repair kit

Had a Febco irrigation system back flow preventer that had a leaking relief valve. Not bad for 30 years in operation. I was able to tear down the valve without removing it from the system, found the old seals cracked including the diaphragm. Replaced all the o-rings and relief valve seals and the valve is back to working like a champ. Would have cost a small fortune to hire a plumber to do the job.

Package arrived exactly as described. Fit my Febco valve perfect with all the seals in the package. Now the bad news. I replaced all the parts, put it back together exactly as taken apart and it worked for about 15 minutes then started leaking again. Yes, I cleaned the valve prior to replacing the seals. No, I did not use any abrasive materials. Yes, I put silicone grease on all the new seals. No, my water pressure is not above 50psi. So, I am not sure what the problem is. I am going to make a guess and say one of the two springs went bad. Springs are not included in the kit.

Great little kit. In addition to the main black rubber diaphragm included in this kit, I cut out the center of the old diaphragm, made a ring (additional gasket) and doubled the new with the old. This provides more rubber material to be compressed and do a better job of sealing the two halves of the BF Preventer. I think that the four screws that compress the two halves are insufficient. There should be 5-6, and that is why I doubled up. All other components in the kit fit perfectly. No leaks!! Super easy for DIY. Highly recommended.

Stopped the leaks and used it on flow control valve in boiler room

Moved into a new home that has been vacant for 5 years, when I fired up the sprinkler system I discovered a small static leak in my Febco 825Y 1" valve. The Febco site was exceptional in providing a complete parts breakdown along with a terrific YouTube video that walked me through the entire process of how to replace all gaskets and o-rings. Purchased the 905111 kit, it arrived quickly and had all the necessary parts I needed to make the repair. To my surprise this kit comes with o-ring lubricant needed in the installation. The only downside is the expense, however, when compared to either replacing the entire valve or calling out a professional I figure I've saved a ton.Installation Video: [...]

Came with more washers, O-rings, and gaskets than I could find on my FEBCO 825Y, but I used most of them, and, my leak has stopped for about 3 days now. Comes with no instructions, but perhaps these things often develop leaks, there's info and videos on the Internet.

Well, the is a bag of O-rings and a diaphragm. Not too exciting. It did have all the proper materials to rebuild the leaky back flow preventer. I replaced all the old parts and turned on the water. No more leaks. Very happy with the purchase.

Parts fit as good as new. Sealed up my leaks with the new washers and gaskets.
