Thorne Research Veterinary - Hepagen-Fc (cats & small dogs) 60c

This is another excellent formula from Thorne Research for pets. The formulation is safe for use, as of this writing, and the pills are just small enough for a cat. That having been said, because the pills are capsules they can be split open and put in food or, as might be necessary for a very small dog or small cat, the pills can be divided between two size 4 capsules either to dose two or four times a day or to make administration easier on you and your pet.The supplements contained herein are specifically beneficial to the liver, including Milk Thistle, which is among the best liver supplements on the market. I combine this with a form of Sam-e that has a lower dose than the average human labeled product (such that the dosage is safe for aiding in feline and canine liver health). Overall, this is one of the best combination products out there and, unlike many human products that are at least half rice-starch, they didn't use too much filler, rather than give us a nutrient dense pill.Please note that Hepagen-Fc is the smaller option (for cats and smallish dogs) from Thorne and, as four of my five babies are small, we use this formula for convenience. The company does offer a larger size for use in large dogs, also nutrient dense instead of filler dense, but in a much larger capsule.Good luck in making your choice.

It has taken about six months, but giving this to our cat twice a day has cleared up his liver-related problems, and he has regained his playful, cuddly disposition. We open the capsules and sprinkle the powder on his food, and he has no problems eating it down. (He will not take pills or capsules any other way -- not even with a pill gun.)

My dog is on medication that has increased his liver values significantly. Only his next labs in a few months will tell me how he's doing, but since adding this he is eating better and seems peppier, such that others have asked what is different. Hope it is okay to be sprinkling on food because I would never get the capsule in him.

Sent on time and packaged as needed. Better price than local vets as well! Stuff work for our older dog to relieve some of the arthritic pain she's dealing with.

This has been a wonderful, low cost solution to my 8 year old rescues pre existing liver problem. The vet cant believe the turn around in him. I first started giving him my own milk thistle before i found this. I am so happy i have found something that works for my boy without any nasty side effects. Hes sensitive to almost everything but this.

We have been giving this to our little dog who has slightly elevated liver enzymes. To date he has had no reactions to the supplement and we are hopeful that it is helping to get his liver numbers back closer to normal. We will be having another blood test done in a few months, but until then we will continue using this supplement.

Why use milk thistle for your dogs liver health when you can use this formula. It's the best I've seen and after doing toy breed rescue for 20 years, it's the best formulation I've seen.
