Retro-Link Wired GameCube Style USB Controller - Blue LED

Hey guys!!!! EmuCain here with another trusted Gamepad Controller review. Today it's the Retro-Link Wired GameCube Style USB Controller When I looked to purchase this controller, I read the reviews of others I even watched youtube vids on it. The reviews that I read and viewed were all negative saying that this controller was no good. That it was flimsy and that windows wouldn't recognize it. Well I am going to tell you that this controller is nowhere near flimsy. It is built like a solid brick. The controller is very professionally made. all controls are responsive. I use it on my Dolphin 5.0 emulator and it registers under the controller configuration with ease. The blue LED lights are amazing in the dark and the motor for the rumble works superb. If your sitting on the fence about getting a controller for an emulator such as dolphin 5.0 then take it from me a hard core gamer. This controller is worth every single penny.

the reviews seem to make this look like a lucky chance to get a good controller, and i got a good one i suppose. the triggers dont act like the original gamecube controller, where the trigger could recognize how far down it was being pressed, but most games(brawlhalla(i know it doesnt even have shielding, but i experimented with the inputs and it doesnt recognize the squeezing input separately from the full press), melee light, rivals of aether(this controller is wonky af on rivals), ssf2) dont recognize this controller properly. Dolphin doesnt seem compatible with this either. when you input down left on the thumbstick on rivals, the game sees this input as a switch of controls from this controller to an xbox controller, literally no other game does this. what i dont understand is, why doesnt a big company like hori or some other one make an xbox controller in the shape of a gamecube controller? when i tested the inputs, they were recognised as "BUTTON9" or something odd like that, i dont know the process of making this specific controller, but there is an obvious and clear solution to the "usb gamecube controller" situation.

Feels just like every other third-party GameCube controller. It's cheap and you can probably break it in half with your bare hands. On the upside you can replace all of the rubber contacts, springs and buttons from an original GameCube controller and cover up the obnoxious blue lights with a different shell. My recommendation is to leave the bottom half clear so that it looks like it has underglow.

I played with it for a while, and its comfortable, and works like I expected.However, the cd that came with it for the drivers doesn't fit in my CD drive.One thing I was disappointed in was the L & R buttons. The L & R buttons were stiff, which originally wasn't that big of a deal, but then I tried pressing them lightly. They have no pressure sensor at all. Pressing it down lightly is the same thing as pressing it all the way down. Making games like super mario sunshine really difficult.

i love that it glows but i wish it had an off switch so i can turn off the light other than that this controller is awesome as hell

Biggest waste of money I have EVER spent. Not just on Amazon. EVER!!!!!!

So, I decided to give it a shot and bought 2 controllers. As far as my experience goes, the controllers led lights are beautiful. It looks great playing at night, making it easier to play. The controllers overall look like a GameCube controller but I do have a few issues. The L, R, and Z buttons do feel a bit stiff. It doesn't feel good when I press it, the Z button requires a little more pressure then normal. It's not too much of a hassle where it makes it difficult too play; which is why I'm giving it a 4 out of 5.

I bought this in hopes that i could use it on my Nintendo Switch but now i find it actually only works for my Labtop and i'm not much of a pc gamer...this is really bumming me out and now i have controller i'll hardly ever use!Update: So i tested this on my Ps3 and it works just fine with Gta 5. Fully fucntional with the Gta games so now my reveiw is a 5 star. I haven't tested what other games it can handle yet though so i'll get back to that later

Es un mando increiblemente bello y bien construido!!Desde hace dos años vi pesimas reseñas de este producto, pero hace unos días bajo tanto de precio que no pude resistirme.Recibi un mando de buenísima calidad, muy bien presentado, compatible con Windows, Mac, Linux, Retropie, TV Box Android e incluso la Super Retrocade!!Debido a la falta de boton Select puede presentar algunos inconvenientes en algunas plataformas, pero para Jugar en Dolphin tanto en TV Box Android como en PC la experiencia es muy agradable, los leds a mi opinion no molestan en nada al jugar y es mi mando favorito desde ya para jugar Beat m Ups y Shooters en MAME, el gigante boton A y los Triggers dan un feedback exquisito, te recomiendo que lo compres.

Controller works, but i received one which the z button was loose, for the price i paid, i was expecting it to be good

El control esta muy bien por el precio y lo único malo que vi, son los gatillos (L y R) y el botón Z.Los gatillos no miden la fuerza pero en muy pocos juegos lo necesitas, además lo puedes hacer funcionar con una muy buena configuración del emulador.El botón Z esta mal el tacto pero nunca se usa.Los leds son un poco molestos a mi gusto.Si no instalas los drivers (el disco) que viene con el control, no funciona la vibracion pero con instalar speedlink strike gamepad driver o algun programa similar funciona

llegó muy rápido y es perfecto para el uso se siente muy bien no se ve como algunos que se siente el plástico barato
