Fridge hummed. It came and went every few minutes.
Amana AFI 2538 French door refrigerator.OEM part#W10128791 for relay. OEM part# T08-36 for capacitor.Replacement capacitor was larger than original, and the replacement relay was white, not black like the original. But both fit exactly. My refrigerator home to very softly for about 3 weeks. Then it got more regular and louder in the humming came more often. In the beginning it would only come once every 30 minutes or so softly. When I replaced his overload relays and starter capacitor running capacitor it had begun humming every few minutes constantly. The refrigerator with no longer cut off the last couple days it ran constantly. I happened to read about this problem online and this was the part they suggested changing. After pulling refrigerator out and changing this part I let it sit for about 15 minutes before plugging it back in. It started up quietly and is now running perfectly. If you have this problem I suggest buying this part. From what I read if you do not change the sport eventually the compressor will burn up and refrigerator will go out.

connector was opposite side of my existing relay but it worked perfectly
My Jena-Air refrigerator was not cooling in refrigerator section and I could hear the compressor clicking on and off. Purchased this as it was it would fit. It did, although the connector to the wire harness was on the opposite side. Was slightly concerned but it made no difference. 5 days later and my fridge is silent and working perfectly.

Wrong advertised part
This might have been a great part but it was not the item for my refridgerator and my fridge was listed as the part for this item. It was improperly advertised. Was not the correct part and after I opened the item, I did not return to Amazon.

Fixed my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator!
Great product. It looks slightly different than the one I pulled off but works great. The compressor would kick on and run for about 5 seconds then shut off then repeat every 5 minutes or so. Thankfully we caught it in time so it didn't burn out the compressor. This little part I think extended our fridge life for years.

Replaces Embraco EBG44308702 starters in LG refrigerators including LFC25770ST, just need two pigtail adapters
Installed in place of a faulty Embraco EBG44308702 start device on an LG refrigerator model LFC25770ST. The original start device is no longer available and neither LG nor Embraco list a cross-reference replacement ! The original start device contains a TSD, overload protection, and start capacitor with two 0.250" male disconnects to attach to the LG harness. This Whirlpool part number is also manufactured by Embraco and is nearly identical, however it has two 0.110" male disconnects designed to fit a factory multipin connector. To use as a replacement in the LG, you'll need to make two pigtail adapters, each with a 0.250" male disconnect and a 0.110" female disconnect.I connected my pigtails to this Whirlpool start device, and attached it directly to the Embraco EGX80HLC compressor start & run pins. My fridge started up easily, no noise or clicks, and pulled temperature down. Extremely happy that I found this replacement as my only other option was a hard-start kit.I found that Sears PartsDirect lists a cross reference part CLS30820001 for approximately $85, this one might work just as well for less cash.

Refrigerator clicking & high pitched whistle repaired (didn't need compressor) Don't wait until frig stops cooling.
I had a frequent clicking and high pitch whistle sound from refrigerator. Sounds was coming from the compressor area. Only part there (other than compressor $$$) is the run capacitor and relay. So I replaced the capacitor / relay, and noise stopped and refrigerator started cooling better. Replace this part at first sounds of clicking / whistling - while refrigerator still cools. Fixed my Amanda / Whirlpool, without replacing the compressor. Before replacing compressor ($$$), try run capacitor. Run capacitor / relay is typical problem, not the compressor. This was an exact replacement for less than 1/2 the price of local appliance parts stores. T

Four Stars
The party came fast and was good quality. Unfortunately though it did not solve my problem in this case.

Awesome!
Worked great! Fixed my expensive fridge! I am very greatful. I was worried since it does not look like the picture or the one I took out of the fridge, but after researching, I found out it is an updated part.
