Perfect Fix to my F21 drain errors!
Our Whirlpool Duet Tumble Fresh 4.4 washer has been giving us the dreaded F21 errors constantly for about a year. The cycles would stop halfway through a load and we would have to start it again. Cleaned out the filter multiple times with no success to the problem. Wife said either "fix it or we're buying a new washer/dryer set "(2.5k). Well the "frugal" guy that I am I proceeded to take out the old drain pump and took it apart. I found 2 ball bearings, a corn kernel and a small rubber zipper grip down inside the impellor. I thought "maybe just get these objects out of here and we'll be good to go" however I was able to get my finger down on the impellor and could immediately tell it was loose and would move side to side. I knew the old pump was shot. OEM pumps were $100+ so took a chance on this aftermarket one for about $30. Product arrived in 2 days. Installed it in about 15 minutes. It was a perfect fit (you do have to use a flathead screwdriver to force the rubber foot on the right side down into the washer pan bracket). Connected both hoses with new clamps and plugged it in. WORKS FLAWLESSLY. I didn't realize how loud the old pump was until the new one was installed. If your washer has a loud grumble while it's draining that's indicative the bearings are shot on your pump. Have only ran about 8 loads over the past few days but the F21 error is gone much to my wife's delight. I would recommend cleaning out the drain hoses both inside the washer and the line from the back of the washer to the drain vent. The exterior hose to the drain vent was quite dirty I noticed. Couldn't be happier with the price, quality, fit and performance.!

Week made
I'm a single mother, and my washer quit on me, and I diagnosed the problem with chat gpt. I ordered this part and installed it myself 6 months ago and it's still working great. I was hoping that the part wouldn't be junk considering the price compared to other companies, but it seems to be doing great so far! I am really happy because the cost was super low, and it was relatively easy to Uninstall and reinstall the new part.

Great part works great
Installed this part in my Duo whirlpool washing machine. After 2 years of having a broken down washer, going to the laundromats using quarters, bringing damp clothes home for drying. Being able to find this part for 30 to $40 was an absolute blessing. My local parts store wants $160 for the same. Order it here you won't be sorry. It worked my machine drains now and I am conveniently washing clothes at home now! The part is just as quality as $160 one I guarantee it. It has been working steady for 5 months now. Works like a charm couldn't be happier!

Works great
Gets 4 stars because it should have come with the small outlet hose clamp, since the factory used a crimp on type clamp that can not be reused. Other wise it fit and works just great, if you have any problems sliding the rubber mounts in the openings use a small amount of soap on them.

What the Troubleshooting Guide doesn't tell you
When you remove the from panel from your washer there is a trouble-shooting guide attached to the back of the panel. Our washing machine, a Whirlpool Duet, had an F21 code, meaning it took too long for the washer to drain. We cleaned the filter and that helped, but the pump still operated with a loud growling noise. We then followed the guide and used a volt meter to test the Ohms on the pump, as listed in the troubleshooting guide, and they showed to be within spec. However when we put the machine through the test cycle (detailed in the troubleshooting guide) I noticed the top of the pump motor was very hot i.e. couldn't leave finger on the pump motor for more than a few seconds. That is when it occurred to me that the Ohms test checks if the windings in the motor are good. Obviously they were. However the pump was getting hot and seizing up, something the troubleshooting guide did not cover. To test this theory I left the front cover off the washer and placed a fan in front of the motor for about an hour to cool it off. Once the pump motor felt cool to the touch I left the fan blowing on the pump motor then started another load of laundry. The pump worked, although it operated loudly (a loud growling noise). However that confirmed my suspicion that the pump was getting hot and seizing up. We ordered this replacement pump and until it arrived we still had to wash clothes. To resolve this every time we started a load of laundry we placed the fan in front of the pump to keep it cool. The installation went pretty smooth. Be aware that the big hose coming from the tub has water in it so make sure you have a towel handy before you disconnect it. I was able to reuse the old hose clamps though care must be taken to ensure they are seated on the pump and not too far back where they are just clamping the hose. You will likely need to unscrew the clamp holding the old pump to the bottom of the washer. My old pump used an 8mm wrench. It might be necessary to prop the front of the washer up on a 2x4 to get better access to the screws. Once the screws are loose on the clamp you might have to push out the large rubber wedge that is next to the clamp before you can slide off the old pump. If so you need to push down ont he wedge towards the floor to pop the wedge out of the hole before you can slide the pump off. The installation should be opposite of the reverse. Before you place the front cover back onto the washer be sure to run a few test cycles to check for leaks. Don't forget to put the troubleshooting guide back inside the cover so you know where to find it the next time. And for the record, the new pump operates very quietly.

Perfect replacement.
Perfect fit for my Whirlpool Duet Sport washer. Didn't realize how loud the old one had gotten before it died in the middle of a load the night before leaving on vacation. Watched a couple installation videos and saved myself hundreds of dollars.
