I bought this in Dec 2015, it is now June 2019. I have used this for making at least 2 (two) frappes (cold coffee) every single morning for the last 31 months, which amounts to approximately 1800 uses. It is still going strong, like on day one. What has surprised me is that not only has the motor performed flawlessly, but even the tip of the blender has not worn down. Let me put it this way: If this little machine broke down tomorrow, I would immediately buy the exact same machine again immediately. pretty strong. great for greek frappe. only issue is that the base is not strong enough for its power. you need to hold it.

If you are here and reading this, I assume you probably love milkshakes as much as I do. You are tired of your regular blender just not making your shakes the way you want them. Maybe you've seen the mixer they use in restaurants to make shakes, and you wanted to get one for your home. So the question is, does this thing work?Yes - sort of.It takes some coaxing. This model simply does not have the power or capabilities of what they use at places like DQ. If you're looking to make homemade versions of the famous Blizzard, it's not going to happen with this. It can make some good and fairly thick milkshakes, though. But it takes some patience and planning. Your ice cream can't be rock hard. You can't add it all at once. It takes over a minute to get it to really emulsify. It can produce some good results. But don't expect too much. It's only $30, after all. For the price, 3.5 stars.

I really wanted to love this product. I did. It isn't bad, but there are a couple issues which keep it from being great. My first job was at a soda fountain, so I have way too much experience making shakes on professional equipment and know a trick or two. Now that I'm a dad I wanted to be able to make great shakes for my kids and wanted something more authentic than a blender but less expensive than professional grade mixer. I saw this and figured why not, it was only $30. The issues became apparent right after my order shipped when I saw that the suggested cups would not properly fit. Sure, I could just fill them and work them by hand since they won't seat properly, but that kind of defeats the purpose. I found the appropriate cups, but they're $24 each, which is almost the cost of an additional mixer. I was aware that the unit was mostly plastic, which isn't ideal, but at this price it's acceptable. It doesn't feel heavy duty at all and I'm concerned about the longevity but only time will tell if it will hold up to regular usage. Those cons aside the mixer functions fine for the price. I was able to make good shakes easily and though I am a little rusty (it has been roughly 13 years since I quit that job), with practice they will be perfect. That being said, Hamilton Beach has an upgraded model that is all metal which I'm considering purchasing if I use this one enough to invest more money. At least if I do I'll already have an extra cup.

I bought this to mix my own skin care products. Previously, I had been using a milk frother but it would bog down in heavy lotions and creams. This thing blasts right through it and makes beautiful fluffy and creamy products. I had to trim the plastic blender tip down a bit as it was a little too powerful for the amount of product I was mixing and it would splash out of the bowl (didn't use the steel mixing cup). Once I did that, it was perfect!

Cheap plastic piece on junk!! At first glance I knew immediately it was poorly made but it didn't cost much so I got what I paid for, but upon using it the one and only time I ever plugged it in I realized that it would not make a milkshake with even the softest ice-cream. It got in a bind and quit spinning every time I put the cup on. It's nothing like the 60 year old Hamilton Beach I grew up using which to this day still works. Maybe I will inherit it one day and quit wasting my money on garbage like this.

My grandson loves milkshakes and that is why I purchased this. We have been very pleased with the milk shake maker. He can make his own milk shake without worrying about him using a blender with sharp blades. It has been used numerous time since he got this for Christmas and couldn't be happier. Easy to use, easy to clean and fast.

Das Gerät läuft nur auf 110 Volt und ist in Europa ohne Stromwandler garnicht nutzbar.Leider wird das auf der Präsentationsseite verschwiegen.Um das Gerät zu nutzen hätte ich weitere 65€ für nen Stromwandler ausgeben müssen.unzumutbar.Verkäufer reagierte recht negativ auf meine Kritik bzgl der 110 Volt und da ich das Gerätauch sehr spät bekam, nämlich nach fast vier Wochen, aber es nicht selbst in Empfang nehmenkonnte, habe ich das erst nach fünf Wochen bemängelt. Verkäufer nahm sich davon nix an.Mal gut das Amazon aber eine A-Z Garantie hat, sich nach meinem Einschalten den Fall ansah undmir dann anstandslos direkt den Kaufbetrag erstattete.

I had a stand like this and thought I would get another one after a few years and really have noticed quite a difference in how the product quality is so much cheaper in this one even with the stainless steel mixer cup and just the whole machine doesn’t operate nearly as smoothly or as sturdily as my previous one that I had.

I loved it, at first. But then the mechanism that spins the stem of the whisk released and wouldn't spin anymore after about 5 uses. It overheated and I could smell an electrical burning type smell. Unsure if it was the thickness I was having our milkshakes or if it was the product itself

Have been looking for a good stand mixer for making chilled coffee beverages. I've had issues in the past with battery depletion of handheld mixturs, the lack of power of handheld mixtures, and fixed guards for corded power mixers. This mixer has a plastic blade, which is sufficient for whipping coffee with ice, making smoothies, etc. Love it, have been using it daily for months and would recommend it because it is not expensive (in my opinion)

I expected all metallic thinner sturdier stirrer (head is plastic). splashes out of cap. Have to worry about replacement part. Not sure how to order (could not find at Amazon). Would be nice to also had supplied a milk frothier shaft. ok, but overpriced
