Iodine: Why You Need It, Why You Can't Live Without It (5th Edition By David Brownstein, M.d. and a Bottle of Old Fashioned Lugol's Iodine (2 Fl. Oz.)

I have been sick 6 years with "fibromyalgia" and recently a naturopath gave me lugol's iodine to use on my skin. I was surprised how fast it absorbed. I have heard if you absorb the iodine within 24 hours, you're deficient. I'm still tentative because I have tried everything for chronic fatigue and pain, but for the past few days I've gotten out of bed with energy and very little pain. It's cold and rainy in my area which means I usually have a very hard time moving around. Not so right now. I'm excited that this could all be explained very simply.When I was first diagnosed, I recalled an article I had read when I was 15 about a woman who had hypothyroid and her symptoms. I thought for sure this was my problem, but my tests always come back normal. More extensive testing was done, which came back low-normal. I didn't realize some that test within normal ranges are still treated for hypothyroid based on their symptoms.

I ordered this book because my daughter was diagnosed with hyperthyroid. Her doctor recommended taking Iodoral before seeking medication for treatment. It has been beneficial for her. The book has a lot lf medical research information and several personal testimonies. I found it intriguing.

I bought this book and iodine after extensive internet research after being diagnosed with Hypothyroidism 2 months ago. In a matter of 2 months my TSH level went from 18 all the way up to 72, so I am not sure what I did wrong. Just be very careful and have your Thyroid very closely monitored if you try this. I may have not done it right. I found the book did not explain very well at all how much Iodine I should be using daily. Nor did the bottle..... so I was putting 1 or 2 drops in a glass of water every morning. After reading the book, I still had to go on the internet and try to calculate exactly what I should be using. Maybe I just did it wrong, but the book should have been more forthright about telling you how much to use.

You can purchase the book for $15 on Dr. Brownstein's website and you can get the iodine for $10.99 or so. It makes me angry seeing what opportunists are charging people that are scared and needing this treatment at this time. By the way, the book IS a 5 star buy!!!

Everyone needs iodine and especially if you are allergic to fish and shellfish. Ended up with a goiter snd cyst on the thyroid and doctors are useless . Found this book Iodine why you can't live without it by Dr David Brownstein. An amazing book. Talks about Lugals Iodine and the effects on the body. 2 months after taking it in water my goiter shrank 1.5 cm

This book has reliable information and it is easy to read. The book has been very helpful to me, and I will refer to it often.

This book gives much more information than your doctor can tell you in a short visit. The iodine is easily added to juice and helps with a variety of little ailments. For those folks who do not use Iodized salt (like me), I think this is very helpful.
