To be completely honest, I purchased this so that I could flip a chimney starter over and finish my food off with a quick sear when I sous vide with out using a ton of charcoal. I was surprised at how THICC this boi was. For only $12, I was expecting something super thin like wire coat hanger thickness but this thing had other plans, it’s about 3 times thicker than a wire clothes hanger. This thing landed on my front door with a CLUNK as if to say “DADDYS HOME” and speaking of dads, this thing will up your dad game. Not as much as a pair of Nike Monarchs would, but it definitely elevated my dad game. All in all I’m super surprised at how good quality it is, I had doubts it would fit over my chimney starter but it fit like a glove and it definitely won’t fall off as long as your chimney starter is 7.5” in diameter. You won’t regret this purchase.

Good fit, sturdy build, Have used a couple times now for quick roasted veggies, worked great. When dumping hot coals, just hold a few back for the chimney cook. Not too hot that way.

Build quality is great, and it does fit my Weber chimney, but it's not the most secure fit. It has 4 "legs" that will keep it from falling off I hope, but instead of putting the 2 legs on opposite sides from each other, I think it would have been better to locate them at the 15 minute positions so the side-to-side movement would be reduced.

Perfect Char-Broiled steak in 5 minutes or less. Gets super hot. Use less coals.

I got this grill grate to put ontop of my charcoal chimney so I can sear steaks on it quickly at high temp after sous vide, works perfectly. Could be a thicker gauge metal tho. It will likely last a few years but good enough for what I needed it for.

I bought this just to see if it works. I found out this thing is great for searing meat, and I even set a pot on top of it once to boil some water for the mac'n cheese i smoked on the grill! Sears steaks like they do at a Steakhouse restaurant!

It fit a small clay oven I bought in Mexico. I just had to file 4 grooves into the rim of the oven so that the grate's legs fit. No complaints! I would not grill food directly on it since it does have a cancer warning. I use it to rest my pot or pan above the flames.
