Moleskine Passion Journal - Art, Large, Hard Cover (5 x 8.25)

When I was looking for new watercolor art/sketch journals from Moleskine, I came across this new Passions Art Journal Carnet Art. I debated on buying it. I have my iPad Moleskine journal app, and enjoy using it. I wondered why not have these as online in-app purchases...instead of print. So I bought this to check it out along with another pure blank Moleskine for my art journaling. OMG!!!I have fell immediately in love with this Art Journal.I have had it for 5 minutes, and I'm shaking like a chihuahua to fill it out! LOL!It has the following tabs: My Favorite Places, Contemporary and Modern Art:Leading Exhibitions (monthly breakdown across the globe), wonderful foldout on Contemporary Art History Timeline from 1870 to now with Relational Art, Art Journal, Wish List, Visits, Artworks, My Collections, Books Etc. then at the back of journal there are 5 blank tabbed areas with many varied ruled/blank pages, and an Index waiting for you to fill out! They also provide several preprinted stickers/tabs and blanks for you to use to personalize this journal just that much more. Finally, they have an insert with a web address for you to visit should you need additional pages to print out and use.I'm so in love with this journal!!! First off I want to say I am a huge fan of moleskine notebooks. I was however, unimpressed by this offering. The pages are quite thin and writing on one side of the paper is visible on the opposite side. Even pens/makers that are 'bleed proof'' show through. I am reduced to using pencil for my entries. other than that it is nice. I kind of like the 'prompts'. They give me a starting point and make it easier to begin putting my thoughts down

I started using moleskine for their history, but then I realized how fantastic their products really are. I've never had a sketchbook fall apart on me in any way. The paper is always a fantastic thickness. Once they came out with these passion journals, I just had to see what was inside. I was not disappointed.

its okay, I dont really like how some of the sections are divided up. Some of the categories seem repetitive of kinda pointless../ some things are unclear as to what they are.

My daughter was surprised when she open this gift this is what she wanted for her birthday.

Although I love Moleskine diaries and notebooks, I was a bit hesitant about buying this originally but after reading a few other reviews I decided to try it out. I honestly believe this book will give me motivation to make the most of gallery/museum visits, and fully research certain artworks. The different tabs are really great, which vary from a section for Exhibition Visits, to Artworks, to Art Books you've read. There's a tab for artworks that you own ("Your Collection"), which I think is pretty useless as it contains 17 pages for you to fill out, and who can afford that much art? Anyway, it's a pretty nice gift idea for anyone interested in museums, galleries and art in general (am considering buying the chocolate/wine journals for myself too...)

I love art history, and I want to use this Moleskine to record my art journey in London during the last three months. Just some simple words or small pics are good, this notebook cannot include too much information.

another good purchase at a reasonable price and it was something my daughter wanted to write notes in about all the galleries she's been to

Usually as I go to galleries on my own I find this journal helps me get more out of the experience. May not be for every one but I liked it
