Red Winter Kale. Excellent
Excellent seeds. Healthy. Happy. Sprouted much faster than I expected . I planted them 3 or 4 days ago. Surprised me with their smiling faces this morning !I actually thought they take longer to sprout. They are tiny still. But good color. Strong. And ALL I see planted are up.Thank you, Hirt's Gardens. Its good to see a business as important as seeds that is promoting excellent quality.I will be your repeat customer

Three Stars
Nice product but didn't have as much kale as expected

Much better than I hoped for!
The germination rate is really high and the plants are strong! This is my first time growing this kind of kale and I have to admit, I thought these leaves would be flimsy, from looking at the pictures of them on the net. I was wrong, the leaves are strong and sturdy! Very easy to clean pests off too if you get them, much easier than finding pests and cleaning them off the curly kale! 5 stars would buy again.

GREAT COMPANY!!! :-)
So far I like everything about how the seeds arrived, how they seem fresh, and how excited I am to plant them! Of course, after I plant them I will update my review on how they grew. I must say though, this company did something EXTREMELY wonderful ... they sent along the most interesting instructions ... yes, believe it or not ... instructions on how to properly plant seeds. It never occurred to me I needed instructions :-)When I read the instructions called "Getting off to a fine start" I actually learned a couple of things I never knew! 1) Scarification and 2) Soilless mixes and why you should NEVER use SOIL when planting seeds. I had NO IDEA why! WOW. I am sure this will make a HUGE difference in my future seed germination. Now, let me tell you something, I have grown a LOT of things, in my little lifetime, and everything seems to have gone pretty well thus far. Sure I've had some seeds not germinate, but I just thought I had some bad seeds or it was somehow something I've done, like accidentally let the seeds dry-out or something. But alas, I WAS doing something wrong and never even knew it. Apparently (per the instruction note included) you should NEVER plant seeds in soil because it can be too heavy for the seeds to battle and may carry viruses or bacteria that love tender seedlings. It also eliminates Damp-off too. Who would have thunked! ;-) So I guess when I said I 'thought' I may have let the soil dry-out, it very well could have been Damp-off. wow. I had no reason to even think to look it up online. This was VERY enlightening! THANK YOU Nancy from No Thyme Productions, this is exactly what some people need to know and I, for one, thank you for your little instruction note. I can't wait to plant my seeds! :-)

Very deceiving advertising
I received these seeds in a tiny zip-lock bag in a mailing envelop with return address from Hong Kong, not what is pictured. I thought I was purchasing USDA Organic seeds from America. There was a tiny label inside zip-lock that had the USDA Organic insignia, Distributed by PowerGrow Systems, Lindon UT USA. Why was it shipped from Hong Kong? I am very skeptical it is authentic.

Red winter kale
The seeds came in a little print package, similar to what you would find in Lowe's or Home Depot. There was also a separate how-to sheet so I was impressed. But I was disappointed when only 4 out of 8 seeds matured to plants. They are a couple of inches tall now so we'll see how they do in a few more weeks.

nice
This grew very well and didnt get eaten by bugs like a lot of other plants did. Survived transplanting to another garden when thinning out. So pretty on a plate or in a salad. Not bitter.

Yummy, Healthy Kale
This is growing right now in my Arizona winter garden. It sweetens even more with some frost and is not a curly as traditional store bought kale. Self regenerating all season.
