Reliable rechargeable batteries for everyday devices
These rechargeable AA batteries are a great option if you use a lot of battery-powered devices. Instead of constantly buying disposable batteries, these can be recharged and used again many times. They hold a good charge and work well in common devices like remotes, game controllers, toys, and small electronics. The performance has been consistent and they recharge without any issues when used with a compatible charger. The 8-pack is also convenient because it gives you several batteries to rotate through devices while others are charging.Overall, these are dependable rechargeable batteries that help save money and reduce waste over time.

Must have!! Worth the cost!
Essential for all parents!! I was so tired of going through batteries quickly with all of my kid's toys. They hold charge beautifully and last a long time in all my devices — from remotes and toys to cameras and gaming controllers. I love that they’re rechargeable, which saves so much money and keeps disposable batteries out of the landfill. They’re super easy to charge and the performance stays strong even after many recharge cycles. The build quality feels reliable and long‑lasting, and I never have to worry about unexpected power loss. For durability, convenience, and great value, these Energizer rechargeables are absolutely a five‑star buy!

Good but not great.
What I likeThe pack has lasted. I bought it in 2020, and I think most of the batteries are still in my collection. They tolerate regular rotation. Controllers, stair lights, and other household devices cycle through them every month or two. They use standard NiMH charging. A capable charger can charge, test, and occasionally refresh individual cells. The 16-pack is useful for a battery-heavy house. It supplies several devices and leaves enough cells to maintain a rotation. They keep working as they age. Performance is no longer uniformly new, but the batteries remain useful six years later. They are a credible Eneloop alternative. If the Energizer pack is priced well, I would not hesitate to use it.What annoys meMy caveat is mostly comparative. I usually buy Panasonic Eneloop AAs. In my experience they have been the better value, and they remain my first choice. The Energizers have been good enough that this is not a complaint about failure; it is the reason the grade is B rather than A.Price needs to be checked at the moment of purchase. Pack sizes, sales, and marketplace sellers change the per-cell calculation constantly. My view that the Energizers cost more reflects the comparison I have made, not a permanent law of Amazon pricing. Divide the current pack price by the number of cells before deciding. The batteries are also aging. A six-year-old NiMH cell can lose capacity, develop higher internal resistance, or become less consistent with its neighbors. A charger-analyzer is useful here, but a refresh cycle cannot reverse every form of chemical aging. If a cell repeatedly tests weak or behaves poorly after a controlled cycle, recycling it is more sensible than endlessly deep-cycling it.Finally, do not mix cells carelessly in multi-battery devices. Use cells of similar type, age, capacity, and charge state together. One weak or partly discharged cell in a controller or light can be pushed into over-discharge before its stronger partners are empty.Who they are for, and who should skip themThe Energizer 16-pack makes sense for a house with game controllers, stair lights, toys, remotes, and other devices that consume AAs regularly. It is especially useful if you already own a proper NiMH charger and want enough batteries to keep charged spares ready while other cells are in use.Buy whichever reputable low-self-discharge NiMH option offers the better per-cell value when you need it. If Energizer is cheaper or easier to find, this pack is a good choice. If standard Eneloops are cheaper, I would buy the Eneloops because they remain my preferred battery.Skip rechargeable AAs entirely if you use so few batteries that maintaining a charger and rotation adds more hassle than it saves. Also check device instructions when equipment explicitly rejects 1.2V NiMH cells or uses an airtight battery compartment.VerdictMy Energizer Recharge Universal AAs have lasted six years of regular use in controllers, stair lights, and other household devices. They are aging, but they continue to charge and work.Grade: B. They are good rechargeable batteries and a legitimate Enveloop alternative. I would buy them again at the right price, but Enveloop remains my first choice.

Standard AA battery testers will say these batteries are DEAD even when fully charged
NOTE ON BATTERY TESTERS: Battery testers designed for standard AA batteries are calibrated for alkaline batteries, which start out at 1.5v and gradually decline. But, these batteries are NiMH and output a more or less constant 1.2v until they are dead. Because the voltage of a fully charged NiMH battery is substantially lower than a fully charged standard alkaline AA battery, a standard AA battery tester will likely indicate the battery is weak or dead.

Good battery life
The batteries stay charged for quite a while. Definitely cheaper than buying new ones every time.

Pricey initially - but pays for itself easily over time
I've used Energizer rechargable for over 10+ years. The batteries have evolved a little, increasing the mAhr output over the years. For me energizer is a trustworthy brand. My "charger" is also quite old. I think it works great. In fact, I do not see a similar rapid charger for sale these days. Perhaps I'm fortunate.Pros:- name brand- quality- great for home electronics, remotes, Wii, game controllers, etc- quick recharge if you have the correct chargerCons:- slow recharge with the slower charger- a little on the pricey side to start with. But over time you break evenSuggestion: do not mix and match newer rechargeable with the old. I personally feel it leads to more recharge cycles on the newer. so I always mark my batteries and try to use old with old and new with new. When the charger flashes red for a battery, then its life it done and I recycle it

The Only Batteries I Will Buy
These rechargeable batteries are nothing short of outstanding! I was impressed by their performance when they first came out when I was a kid and I still am as an adult! They hold a charge incredibly well, lasting significantly longer than many other rechargeable batteries I've used. The charging time is efficient, and they’re ready to go again quickly, making them perfect for high-use devices. What truly sets these batteries apart is their consistent reliability. Whether powering up remotes, flashlights, or toys, they deliver steady, long-lasting power. The fact that they are rechargeable also means I’m reducing waste and saving money in the long run—it's a win-win for both my wallet and the environment.Additionally, the batteries come with a sleek, user-friendly charger that fits conveniently on my desk. That thought went into the design and functionality, making the entire experience seamless and hassle-free.Overall, these rechargeable batteries exceed expectations in every way. They combine top-notch performance with eco-conscious benefits, making them a fantastic investment. Highly recommended for anyone looking to make a smart, sustainable choice!

Durable and long lasting
I had purchased a pack of 8 more then year ago, I'm really impressed with performance of these batteries. This battery hold the charge for a year. My earlier experience with Duracell rechargeable was not good and they didn't response on warranty claim.
