Still Waffling After All These Years
I bought this waffle iron in 2019, and seven years later it is still faithfully producing heart-shaped waffles like a tiny breakfast foundry of joy. It heats evenly, browns beautifully, and has survived my highly scientific cooking method of “pour batter until vibes suggest stopping.” Even when slightly overfilled, it handles the chaos with dignity. The waffles come out crisp on the outside, soft inside, and shaped like five little edible valentine cards. The heart design is also useful because you can pretend you are practicing portion control while eating all five sections. Cleanup is easy, the nonstick surface has held up, and the machine still works after years of service. In small-appliance terms, that basically makes it a war veteran. No, it does not have removable plates or fancy digital settings. It is not trying to connect to Wi-Fi, monitor your sleep, or harvest your data. It just makes waffles. Admirable restraint in this age. Five stars. Reliable, charming, and still doing its job long after many trendier kitchen gadgets would have retired to the Cabinet of Forgotten Appliances.

A family tradition continues
My husband's grandmother made heart-shaped waffles for his mother when she was young, and she continued to make them for him when he was a child, too. When she passed, he was given her old waffle iron, which worked for several years. When it finally stopped working, I wanted to get a waffle iron that made waffles in the shape of hearts to continue the tradition, which I had grown to love. I looked at dozens of waffle irons, most of which were for Belgium waffles (about 80% of them). I didn't want waffles anywhere near that thick. The waffle irons that made heart-shaped waffles looked nice, but all the reviews I read said the waffles were so thin, they were more like waffle CONES. I was about to give up when I found this one. It had 2 reviews - one of which said it wasn't eco-friendly. I'm a review-reader, so its lack of previous customer reviews made me wonder if I should risk it. I am glad I did. The waffles aren't Belgium thick, nor are they waffle-cone thin. It isn't as hot as I might like, but they also don't get burned. I just turn my waffles around - literally, because of the symmetry of the iron, you can reposition your waffles perfectly and get the end of the waffles that were by the front closer to the hinge. The irons are nonstick, so the waffles never get attached and tear. It's as easy to clean as can be expected. I've had this waffle iron for several months, and it still works and looks like new. All in all, I'm very glad I took the risk of ordering this waffle iron. I can't believe it took me this long to write a favorable review, since that was one of the reasons I almost didn't buy it.

Finally, I have some Norwegian waffles!
Been craving these thin wonderful waffle treats since visiting Norge in 2008. I made the recipe from the included instructions with the waffle maker and they turned out awesome! BROWN (ski queen) cheese and sour creme are highly recommended with these. The iron was great, easy to use and easy to clean

Now, this is it!
I love waffles - and so does my daughter. Every waffle recipe book she's ever looked at had heart-shaped waffles and that's what she really, really wanted (she's four...). I already own a fancy waffle maker - one of those contraptions that can make two waffles at the same time and that can be "flipped" - but it is square and not heart-shaped and the waffles are really thick. Thus, I set out to find the perfect waffle maker - one that produces heart-shaped waffles, one that bakes the waffles at an even shade of golden brown, and one that produces waffles that are nowhere near as thick as the square belgian waffles my other waffle maker makes. I found finding such a waffle maker online rather impossible - you can't really see the contraption and thus, you don't really know how big the waffles will be nor, more importantly, how thick or thin they will be. Descriptions of this waffle maker seemed to include a lot of "the waffles are neither too thick nor too thin" - which is nice, but doesn't really tell me if the waffles will meet my expectations. I was unable to find a heart-shaped waffle maker in the store and thus, decided to simply buy this one on a whim. Well, so here I am with my new waffle maker and really like it. There's not much in terms of set-up - plug in, select shade of golden brown you want, put batter in, wait until the "ready" light comes on, and eat. This is as simple as it gets - and it should be. It's also how just about every single waffle maker I have ever owned has functioned - thus, please forgive me for not going into the specifics of which light comes on when, etc. If you've ever seen a waffle maker, you'll know how this thing works. Now, the waffles are not the biggest - but they are big enough. The waffles also do not come out with a consistent golden brown hue - instead, there is a much lighter spot in the center - I found this somewhat irrelevant but still worth mentioning while also providing a reason for the subtraction of one star. How thick are the waffles? Neither too thick nor too thin. There's really no better way to describe them and I finally grasp the other reviewers. The waffles are just right - the way you want them. I am happy and my daughter is happy - and I think you will be, too. All you need now is a good recipe book and a gym membership. Yum.

Makes Fantastic Keto Waffles!!
I have a Belgium Waffle Maker that I've used for many years. I love waffles and pancakes, especially in the cold of the winter months. Name a better comfort breakfast than waffles, bacon, and an easy-over egg. You can't. Stop trying to think of a clever answer. Here's the problem; I got old, and I got fat. So I started doing keto a while ago. Pleased with the weight loss, but miss some of the dishes I used to enjoy. Oddly enough, one of the big challenges of keto alternative recipes, is the texture and mouth feel of the food. (I have yet to find a really good keto bread recipe). I tried many keto waffle recipes in my trusty old Belgium Waffle Maker, and they were eatable, but the texture was always disappointing. On a whim, I decided I needed to try making a thinner waffle, and ordered this unit. What a difference! Give this recipe a try using this iron, if you want some real (keto) waffle satisfaction: 4 large eggs 4 oz cream cheese 6 tablespoons almond flour 2 tablespoon coconut oil or melted butter 1 teaspoon baking powder 2 tablespoons Erythritol 8 drops maple flavoring 1. Add all ingredients to a blender (I use a little Ninja cup blender) and blend until smooth. 2. Use the Euro Cuisine WM520 Heart Shaped Thin Waffle Maker. Set heat control to position 2 (two dots). Plate temp should be about 305f to 310f. 3. No grease on the plates is required. Pour the batter into a pre-heated waffle maker. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Makes about 5 waffles. I top them with some melted butter, and low carb maple syrup! This is a great little waffle maker for the money!

Delish waffles
This is IT! I use this for potato waffles and waffle waffles. No Oil necessary! There is no off/on button but just unplug when you’re done. Easy to clean with just a wipe of a rag. Obviously don’t submerge in water to clean it. It heats quickly. I put it on max heat and cook for 3 min. Everyone likes their food different, but that is my sweet spot. It’s light and easy to store.

Is it really eco-friendly? EuroCuisine doesn't know
I read on another website that this waffle maker had a ceramic coating, thus making it free of the toxic nonstick chemicals used on many brands. It claims to be PTFE and PFOA free, but the cooking surface does not appear to be ceramic coated. Nowhere on or in the packaging does it specify what it is coated with. It looks and feels like some form of plastic coating, rather than ceramic. If anyone has more information about this, please share. With such limited information, I'm inclined to return it. UPDATE - I contacted EuroCuisine, the product's maker, to ask what it is coated with. Sadly, the company representative who responded indicated they don't know what it is coated with. (Makes you wonder how they can claim it is eco-friendly?) He said they would contact the factory in China that manufacturers the waffle maker in an attempt to find out what coating is used. Seems like if the company was serious about offering a product without toxic chemicals that leach into food, they would have already done this research. The EuroCuisine representative also said it would likely be weeks before he would get a reply. I don't have high hopes for the response and plan to return the waffle maker. Should I ever hear more from the company, I'll post the information here. UPDATE- the company finally responded to my request. However, they weren't able to tell me what it was coated with. They only provided certification that it is PTFE and PFOA free. Since I'd never disputed that fact, I am disappointed that they weren't able to tell me what it is actually coated with. I have a number of kitchenware items that are coated in ceramic and they look nothing like this waffle iron. Since the manufacturer provided no information to the contrary, I must conclude that it is coated with some form of plastic that is PTFE and PFOA free.

Cooks well, needs improvement.
Cooks well enough, ergonomics could use some improvement. The ready light is at the BACK, behind the power light, and it's difficult to see it come on unless you are leaning over the top. Also, no alert, not even a click, no feedback when waffle is ready.

Love it!
First, I love how small it is. Takes up very little space on my counter. The prettiest waffles I have ever made and done in 3 minutes. Very easy to clean and I don't need to respray oil between waffles. And best of all no forever chemicals. Love it!
