OtterBox DEFENDER SERIES for Samsung Galaxy S6 - Retail Packaging - Glacier (White/Gunmetal Grey)

I drop my phone an average of 3 times a week (that's a conservative estimate). I've used OtterBox for years, and my phone has never incurred any damage even with all the trauma it sustains. It's not super sleek and it definitely adds bulk to the phone, but that's never been a hang up for me. It is, however, less hulk-ish than its predecessor the Defender s5, making it feel more sound in my hand. The Defender s5 also had this annoying ribbing on the back side which always seemed to collect dirt and was a pain to wipe clean. The s6 has a smooth back side.Several reviews mention getting a tempered glass screen protector instead of retaining the plastic cover that comes with the case. In all the years that I've dropped my phone and all the ways in which it has plummeted to the ground, it has NEVER sustained a hit impactful enough to damage the screen. The plastic that comes with the Defender series has always been enough to prevent any damage. Just my 2 cents on that.If you desire function over fashion and your ultimate goal is to protect your phone from damage, this is the case you want!

I upgraded from a Commuter when the sides started to get soft. I did like the Commuter for it's trimness and the glide when putting the phone into and out of pockets. I didn't care for the way the rubber on the side was partially unsupported and how much grit still worked its way into the case. The commuter was also hard on the ear when talking on the phone because of the design. Unlike the sharp angle of the Commuter, this case has a nice landing place for your ear at the top. It's larger, of course, but I appreciate that the screen protector is integrated and that there are fewer access points for dirt. I put a decal on the back hoping to reduce drag on the rubberized cover, but it's not as sticky as I expected (as my husband's was a couple years ago when it was new). It probably won't fit into my ride jacket anymore, but at least it's protected.

Great case but not 5-star.The company used toballow customers to call their 800 number and explain their issue and they would quickly send a new case. They don't do that anymore, and haven't for several years now.Ihave purchased one of these cases deformed every device we have... 1 full size iPad, 3ioad minis, 1Kindle fire HD X, 4 Various Galaxy models, 4 various iPhone models. They have NEVER failed to protect my investments. That is impressive.I haven't given a 5-star rating because these cases ALWAYS stretch out and the plastic on the screen scratches. They always allow little bits of water to seep into the case and make me open it up to clean up the issue. If they would fix me these problems they would easily be a 5-star company, but they either don't care or don't mind. Either way I can't hand out 5 stars to a company with no desire to fix issues they're clearly aware of.I like the new colors they offer, and I wish they would offer a free case to their most loyal customers. My daughter just got a new phone and iPad mini for her birthday and the cases alone will cost me $70 dollars. Even though it's a lot, it's much less than the replacement cost for if something bad happens to her technology.

Great case. I ordered this case as soon as I bought my phone. In fact, I would not carry my phone with me at work until it was in a case. I think that these phone companies deliberately make the phones slick so you will drop them and have buy replacement phones.This case fit perfectly and looks good. A couple of times I dropped my phone in this case and no damage to the phone. As I wear this on my belt while at work, the case has taken a little of a beating but that's what it's for.I do wonder about the covers (for the charging port and 3.5mm audio) and if they will hold up to daily opening and closing. Time will tell.

I've had this case for a couple of months now and so far it has absorbed all the accidental drops without leaving a scratch on my phone. I'm pretty clumsy with my phone so forgoing style for protection was a no brainer. The rubber exterior is great for grip, but I have to be careful if i have anything in my pocket with my phone as the rubber tends to grab on to anything else inside my pockets and pull it out with it. I've almost lost money and cards :( the screen protector is a tough piece of plastic but I didn't trust how much it would protect my screen when I drop it because there's space between the phones screen and protector, not a tight fit. I popped out the screen prote tor that came with rhe case and am using my own screen protector which works excellent

I thought this case was going to be super bulky, but it's not as bulky as I thought. It definitely does its job of protecting my phone. One thing you might want to know is that you may have a hard time using the fingerprint scanner. The edge of the case comes up quite a bit and you have to adjust how you place your finger. When I first put the case on, the buttons were really hard to push the volume and power buttons. I'm sure that will change as the case develops some wear to it. Also, I built in screen protector comes off easily enough so if you don't lie it you can change it for something like tempered glass or plastic. Overall pretty good case. I would definitely recommend.

At first i feared it might not be durable, but it is holding up well. It will not unintentionally slip off the belt. The phone is securely attached to the holster, yet it is easy to clip it off. The screen guard does not affect the touch sensitivity of the screen. The covering for the USB and audio slots are a bit in the way of attaching the cables, and I would not dare test them for being waterproof, but that is a minor inconvenience.

Arrived much faster than I expected (eta was end of August, and I got it end of July)... Perfect condition and great price! I always use otterbox for my phones (after smashing the screen once I have learnt my lesson) It provides excelent protection. The only annoyingthing is the rubber tends to stretch in warm humid climates, so if you go on vacation, expect to replace it eventually.
