Dorman 310-500 Evaporative Emissions System Leak Detection Pump Compatible with Select Chrysler / Dodge / Jeep Models

I bought this for my 2003 Dodge Ram 5.7L. I had the check engine light with code P0441 for a long time. Finally, I did the research and discovered this was a likely cause. Removal of the old pump was fairly easy, and installation of this one was equally easy. Overall, I spent approximately 30 minutes under my truck.The one downside is that I didn't know which port was the inlet and which was the outlet on this pump. I didn't pay close enough attention when I removed the bad part so I had to guess on the new part. One of the hoses more easily reached to the 'far' port, so I attached it the way it seemed to make the most sense. So far so good...this part has been in my truck for probably 3 months now and the check engine light has never come back on.I did have to 'reset' the error code using my diagnostic tool after installing this. It hasn't come back on in the 3 months since; whereas before I replaced this part, the error code would return after a day or so.

Not an easy part to replace but that has nothing to do with quality of this part. Fixed my issue

I needed to replace the fuel emissions components in the right rear corner of my 06 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited LJ. This was an exact fit and has worked great. Would buy again

Replaced my old unit after getting an error code stating there is something wrong with the fuel system. Upon replacing, I found that one of the hoses had a slit on one end, further contributing to the issue I was having. The stock electrical connector gave me a little difficulty and certainly didn't fit like the original, but it could be me too. After clearing the error codes, the check engine light seems to have disapppeared for now. Keeping my fingers crossed that this does it!

Replaced my old LDP with this one after looking up my check engine codes. I was getting a p0440 and p0456 on my 2003 dodge ram for about 4 months. I have a bluetooth OBD scanner that hooks up to my iPhone and I was resetting the codes for a few months before I decided to look more into it. After reading online I decided that the LDP or the hoses could be the culprit. So, I ordered this LDP and went to auto zone and had them cut me two 5/8 inch hose at 12 inches and another at 18 inches. I took off the old LDP, which is very simple, slid on the new one and replaced the two hoses that connect to this unit. I put on 4 hose clamps as well just to make sure they would not leak. The whole process took about 15 minutes and I reset my code with the scanner. After about 2 weeks of driving since replacing the LDP and hoses I have not had the check engine light come back on! Thank goodness because I'm a little anal about keeping stuff "clean" looking.. Overall, great product and did the trick for me.

This part was the problem on my 2004 PT Cruiser GT, P0441 trouble code. Part is not the easiest to access, but once replaced the code was gone.

Great price, took care of the check engine light. I changed it because YouTube video said this is usually the problem if the EVAP code calls for a gas cap replacement and it turns out not to be the gas cap. Happy camper. By the way it is located on Driver side of 2006 Grand Caravan near the front outer axle area. You Tube directed me to the rear of the van. It's up front.

Tengo una Jeep Liberty 2006 que me estaba marcando GASCAP, reemplacé el tapón y dejó de aparecer unos días, después de esto encendió la luz MIL o de motor y empezó a marcar códigos P0457, P0455 y finalmente comenzó a marcar P0440, inspeccioné las mangueras de la solenoide de purga así como del cánister sin que estuvieran desconectadas o con daños. El manual técnico del portal AllData Repair dio como diagnóstico el switch de la NVLD (bomba de detección de fugas del sistema EVAP) por lo que decidí reemplazarla directamente ya que es una falla común del grupo Chrysler y es más barato que una prueba de humo del sistema EVAP, es importante verificar que el número de parte de la pieza original es compatible con esta publicada ya que al parecer en los modelos anteriores al 2005 cambia el conector eléctrico y algunos compradores tuvieron problemas al conectarla, el primer cambio después de reemplazar es que se siente cierta resistencia para abrir y cerrar el tapón del tanque, llevo un mes aproximadamente sin que vuelva a aparecer la luz MIL o de motor ni el mensaje de GASCAP en el clúster, estoy totalmente satisfecho con mi compra y feliz de que mi Liberty no tenga un sólo testigo de falla.
