So as another review said the default slices are too thick. But I have found you can use a CD case inside to get much more control over the thickness. Unfortunately the way it hinges means you can't easily glue the cd case permanently in place. I'm going to look into drilling a couple of holes to move the hinging bit back and allow that space. Also it's a little bit wobbly. But with a decent knife and gentle strokes it is easy to slice a loaf once it's cooled down. It's also big enough to fit a loaf from a breadmaker.

The plastic slice gaps bend way too easily so causes uneven cutting; defeating the point of the product.Cheap materials that don’t look good or serve the purpose of the product.The thinnest slice you can make is comparable to Warburtons ‘Super Toastie’ thickness and only gets thicker! Easy to use and clean

We had previously purchased the is item and was OK with it based on the price, so ordered one for a member of the family. Very disappointing. The one sent (although looks the same) is certainly not as good. It appears the quality of the item has been reduced since we ordered the previous one. This one won't last long given how flimsy it is

Product was used for cutting bread, that's what I bought it for but found my bread are too big for it.

A complete and utter waste of time and money. Flimsy, cheap, kack. Using it was an exercise in futility. Even the bread complained about the outcome. Honestly, dont even think of ordering this rubbish. Do something more fulfilling with the time it takes to order. One of those items that truly comes handy for throwing away. Rant over..!
