Lights are solid construction. With lights also using MR16 bulbs they are very very bright with the supplied lights. I believe the bulbs which come with the lights are around 350 lumens at 20 watts per bulb. I swapped out the bulbs for MR 16 LED bulbs at 3 watts each with 200 lumens and they are still very bright. Each light has a glass lenses and are very easy to adjust angle for the light. Connectors are very basic and easy to connect to low voltage cable. All in all very pleased with the lights.

These lights have been redesigned since I first purchased them several years ago. The description says they come with an MR16 bulb, but that is incorrect. The newer version has a fixed reflector, and a smaller bulb (G4) in the center. It is less expensive to replace the bulbs now (G4), but the MR16 does not fit into them. The new design has a 1/2" spacer to lift the socket closer to the glass, which prevents using an MR16 bulb. I also wanted to use LED bulbs, but the space between the socket and the glass prevents this. I ended up removing the spacer and using a different socket to make them fit an MR16 bulb (soldering required).

The description says it takes MR16 bulbs. False. It has an image of the fixture with an MR16 bulb inside. Also false.What you actually get is a tiny incandescent light surrounded by built-in aluminum reflectors. The LED MR16s I bought to put in the fixture do not fit due to the aluminum reflector.

I purchased these lights because I already have several of the paradise low voltage lights in my yard and I wanted consistency with the look. I purchased a 6 pack of the lights and they have gone up in price since I started my project (much cheaper 3 years ago when I could buy them at HD). They are made of a heavy aluminum housing and are very sturdy! They only come with a halogen light so I swap them out for the 3w or 4w LEDs (which I buy here on Amazon). This allows me to string many more lights on a single low voltage devise and stay under the max wattage (the halogen bulbs are 20w each and run very hot). I will end up buying more here regardless of the price because they will last for years because they are so well built! NOT A CHEAP PLASTIC!

I’ve purchased 50 to 75 of these lamps over the past few years. I replace the included bulb with an LED bulb. I also hardwire the low-voltage wire into my system. Periodically spray with Matte finish black spray paint. These don’t do well in the rain or elements, but are OK for basic installations. The included stake will also rust out over time. In my opinion these are significantly overpriced for the quality, and will probably replace my entire installation of lights with quality items in time.

I have been using these (or a variation of) for over 15 years with no problems. Aluminum and sturdy steel construction. Won't bend or crack with normal to rough use.The powder coat may fade after a few years but they are paintable with a satin black spray paint and they look like new. Watertight with quality seals and real glass lens. Recent changes in design do not allow foe use with Led lamps

Initially i gave these a 5 star.After 6 months they get a 1 starThey just stop working. Bulb is still good, power supply is still good.They rust out on the inside. You have to disassemble the whole unit, redo the wiring to make it work again.Any money is too much for these bad quality units

The lamp bulb seems to droop a little since this is just a press fit without any screw to tie the bulb down. However, that makes the bulb changing super easy. If desired, they can be converted to LED bulbs in seconds for each. The housing and the spikes are all metal so they hopefully they will be durable.
