Great projector with great price!
Great projector with Android function. Good quality image. 4k solution and support 3D. Better than LG. The seller is very friendly with great support and super fast shipping.

Good for normal use (with minor caveats that are inline with the price), but...
There are some things I liked about this device:* Useful notes from the seller that were sufficient to cope with the mostly Chinese settings* Surprisingly successful for the price (though it fell short of its promise)* The short-throw aspect was very successful, although the first kind of screen I tried with it caused bright diagonals, an issue totally solved by moving to flatter (not ambient-rejecting) screen* A nice set of default appsAnd something I like about the support - they're really determined to try to help, to the point of doing a remote update of the Android OS on the device. I very much respect this. However, I had some issues that probably can't be solved at this price point unless my particular unit was just crotchety:* 3840x2160 monitor use had issues, having either odd radial lines (all pointing to the projector source) which was due to a long cable with signal boost - or being clear, but jumping a bit, sporadically, with a normal, short HDMI 2.0 cable. The jumping was evident all resolutions, and no 4K cable I had solved it. Perhaps an 8K cable? Same problem with both outputs, and with two different NVIDIA cards (one a GTX 1080)* In 3D use, I noticed a much lower framerate than expected, causing Avatar to lose its characteristic smoothness and border on unwatchable for scenes with quick motion. This was observed with the *same* HDMI cable that fed Avatar to my 3D television with no frame skipping (with smoothing disabled).* Color fidelity took quite a bit of tweaking, which doesn't seem to have an UI for it anywhere in the projector itself.* The final issue for me was that while looking at the jumpy 4K text, I discovered the blurry effect was a lot more specific than I'd thought. Horizontal elements rendered clearly, but just underneath, a thicker, blurry version was visible, especially for yellow and green elements. This looks worse than a calibration problem, where the 2nd image would obviously be a specific color component in the wrong place (which gets complex with some projectors that use more than 3 colors). Instead, I suspect a optical alignment issue. Neither case had any obvious method in the UI for fixing it. I'd suspect this problem would be a defect in the specific projector I tested rather than in all U1s.Overall, the device gave a reasonably bright, surprisingly clear projection for up to about 100" diagonal (from around a mere 8" away), and larger with an associated drop in brightness. With some tweaking on the video source, it can produce decent color fidelity. I also discovered options to flip the output horizontally and/or vertically, which might allow for some nice mounting options. If someone managed to beat the odd jittering I had at ~4K, or who'd be happy at ~2K, the short throw and low noise factor of this projector could work as a monitor (screen about 12-18" from the floor, chair some 3' back, projector close to the screen), though a monitor would almost certainly be more vivid. I'll probably go for a BFGD instead.

Good value, real home theater experience.
Very good image and very easy to navigate through the user interface.Initially I was a bit worried about the Chinese Home Page. However you can set either one of the HDMI ports as your default start up screen.Highly recommend that you couple this with a quality set top box. I use the Nvidia Shield for its AI Upscaling to support 720 and 1080 files.I can't say how JMGO U1 measures up to similar projectors, as I haven't seen any other laser projectors in operation. I am however very satisfied with this unit. You can not use this projector with traditional screens. A tab tensioned screen such as the Vividstorm is a must.
