I have had no problems with this phone. The sound quality is fine. I have the base on the second floor and I can use the phone in the yard or in the basement. You should note that the construction of the phone may lead to some problems depending on the dexterity of the user. To use the menu, you often have to push the main button, which is more like a joystick. If it is not pushed correctly, you may make an unintended selection. If the phone is used by those, who are not particularly steady (e.g. those with tremors), you may want to consider another model. Features that I like include flashing when there is a voice mail message, lighting up when it rings (particularly at night), and the number missed calls are indicated on the main screen. It has an answering machine but if you use voice mail, it may not be useful.

The best feature about this phone is the handset speaker. Before, I had to hold a cordless phone to my ear, if there was a speaker it was only on the base unit. Well that was useless because I wasn't about to stand, bent over my end table, just to use the speaker. But this phone has a speaker on EACH handset! At the time I bought this phone there was one other on the market with the same feature and I already owned it, made by "U", lousy speaker that never worked properly. I liked the idea, I just needed to find a phone that worked better. And this was it.I'm a gabber when I get on the phone, not uncommon for me to talk for 2 or 3 hours, so this speaker is a God-send. I can set the phone down and continue to talk, the speaker is loud enough that I can hear the other person and they can hear me even with the phone a couple feet away. Really nice when you're placed on hold and don't want to have the phone to your ear waiting for someone to pick up.Yesterday I decorated my Christmas tree all the while talking on the phone! Handset in my right hand, ornaments in my left. Killed two birds with one stone, love being able to multi-task! Talking on the phone is so effortless now it's the other person who usually has to say, "gotta hang up, my ear is hurting me!". Not me, I've been using the speaker the entire time. In fact I never talk on the phone without the speaker on.People can't tell you're on speaker. It DOESN'T make it sound like you're talking far away, inside a tin can.There's still room for improvement, Panasonic needs to work on one tiny problem. Sometimes the speaker will cut in and out so the person on the other end will miss one word that you have to repeat. Battery lasts a really long time too. There are lots of other features on this phone I could tell you about but all that is secondary IMO, suffice it to say it's got all the bells and whistles.

I needed a new cordless phone. I did not understand that this was just the phone and not the base unit, so it didn't work. I had to return it. I think the description should be more clear that it doesn't work without the base.

I have been using these phones for about six months now with no problems. They are small and easy to use. Sound quality is very good. Lots of nice features such as phone system auto dial and auto password for voice mail. Can page other rooms. The one feature I wish this set had that my previous Motorola phones had was the ability to name a room like Master Bedroom or Kitchen. You only have phone 1, 2 etc. you then have to remember which room is which number. I use six of the phones and they were easy to install and use. Recommend

We are very happy with the phone set (3) Everything seems to be working fine. Good tone, easy to hear, etc. The address book number block part is too small but all the other features seem to work well. The only major problem we've experienced is an echo of our voices from time to time during any particular call.

This is the handset that was featured with teh KX TG753 base unit, only they aren't compatible...the handset won't register with the base unit. I'll need to return it.

This is such a great phone that i had to order the extra handsets.in the past, because the sound quality on my other phones was so iffy,I really didn't care to talk (or listen) to anyone calling me. but afterI got this Panasonic, the sound quality is so good, and the phone isso easy to use, that i ended up getting extra handsets for therest of the rooms in my house.As usual, the phone answering device and extra hand sets arrived on time,on the exact days that Amazon had said they would arrive. No surprise there...It would be nice if all companies took a page from amazon's book, and learned how to ship.I have steadily increased my Amazon ordering over the yearsbecause not only are the prices good, but the service is often superb.

Needed an additional phone for my original puchase, was a bit apprehensive as to how it would work being an add on to the same system. Bottom line plug it in and register the phone with master and your set go. Because you can wander around with these phones, suggest labeling them with their original location, otherwise you can wind up checking each charging cradle to find its home. Great range, volume and well worth the price. Allows you to check your messages from any phone, not just the master. Great buy.
