Bought this to complete a wall bar. Due to the nature of the supports, I needed them to be exactly the same height up the wall. Thought this was going to be a nightmare using a tape measure, so I researched and bought this and an Amazon basics tripod. Using the laser level, I got all four supports in exactly the right locations. Never used one before so instructions and some practicing beforehand got the job done. I give myself and the laser level a hearty round of applause.

Great little lazer for my toolbox. I use this for installing tile and continues to perform bright and accurate after many hours. Great value for the money and definitely recommend a tripod.

This unit works amazingly well. I am very impressed by the brightness and visibility difference between the green laser (like his one) and the older red beams. Where this laser falls short is the woefully incomplete manual and instructions. There needs greater detail and more illustrations showing how-to-use. The greatest shortcoming is no specification about the laser beam offset from horizontal. After some experimentation I determined it is basically zero. This is very good but it merits a note in the instructions.MY other complaint is that when using the laser in self-leveling mode the unit can't be turned off by the power button. It requires you to slide the selector to the non-self-levelng mode. Yes, this is a trivial complaint but it is annoying.Right now I'm very satisfied wit the unit, however, I have given only 4 stars because of the lack of better instructions. Perhaps the company could offer a how-to-use video.

Let me start by saying that when it comes to tools I am not easily impressed. This laser level blew me away. I have used a similar Bosch unit before and other than the updraded clamp with the Bosch, this unit is every bit as good and for $80 less. Don't question this, just buy it! The green color is much easier to see than the red. Self leveling function works great. I'll probably add a dedicated inexpensive tripod to keep with it in the future rather than share with my camera tripod.

I have a $400 red laser level and I put them both on the same level line and they were both exactly the same. This thing is bright and able to lock so you can shoot angles. Well worth the money.

For the money this is a great tool. Worked perfectly right out of the box. Battery life is fair but if you are using this as a DIY tool it's not an issue.

Unless you need level fence posts (as mentioned by another reviewer) this tool is useless, let alone dangerous.The magnetic attachment doesn’t hold to studs and it’s impossible to get a level laser without height and depth around the laser... so if you want to use it to hang curtains, for example, you need to be very far back and very up high in order to use the self leveling feature. Yes, even with a tripod.But most unfortunately, the power button is extremely sensitive - there’s no way to actually lock this laser into an off position. If you even bump the power button on the top, it will turn on and blind you.I also regret not reading in to reviews that mentioned the inadequate instruction manual - should have been a red flag for a $56 laser level.

This is not for a construction worker who needs spot-on accuracy and an easy read, this is for the home owner for whom close is good enough, and work is being done indoors. I tried using it outdoors, figuring green would be better than red (and it is), but usefulness is less than 50%. Sunny day? Forget it. Overcast? Sometimes, depends on the surface. High contrast to green provides a usable line (though not great). Closer to greens, blues, and yellows the harder it is to see, if at all possible.You do get a good, level line, enough for me to use to lay out a small retaining wall for planter boxes, but I would not want to use it to do a full retaining wall down, say, a driveway. The light, even when overcast, simply is not bright enough to see the full length, I got about 10', and near that 10' it was difficult to see clearly.

実際に壁付けの棚を作成するのに使用してみました。レーザー光は赤色が定番ですが、緑色のレーザー光は意外と見やすかったです。光の色により用途などに違いがあるかはわかりませんが。もちろんプロ仕様のものではないのですが、防水性や防塵性も基本的なDIYレベルのユーザーであれば、価格も含めて最適なチョイスだと思います。もちろん道具は使用用途に応じて選ぶものなのでちょっとしたものであれば、さしがね仕様の水平器が小回りがきいて便利ですね。もちろん大型の物を作成するとなると両方が必要になります。個人的には乾電池式なのが少し残念なので★－1です。充電式のものも選べるとなお良いと思う。
