A useful sleep aid
My wife and I share a bed but use separate single duvets, because she likes warmer bedclothes than I do, and because it stops us waking each other up when we roll over in our sleep.Unlike most competing products, this duvet is the same size as a standard single duvet cover. That means you can put it inside any single duvet cover you already have. You'll want to do that, because the cover provided with the duvet feels and sounds a bit like tent material; it doesn't resemble the photo on this page. In addition, no free pillowcase was provided. I've docked a star for that. The usual method for inserting a duvet into a cover doesn't work well with a weighted blanket with a nested cover. For a better way, search the Web for “california roll duvet cover”.What's it like to sleep under? If you lie on your back, there's an unexpected sensation of weightlessness. If you lie on your side, it feels like being hugged from behind for the whole length of your body. It's very reassuring. I suspect we side-sleepers are the ones who'll benefit most.Does it improve sleep? Without a doubt. I sleep longer and more deeply, and I wake up less often. My wife was initially sceptical, but I persuaded her to try the weighted duvet after a night shift. She woke up a good hour later than usual, and the first thing she said to me was that the duvet was great and she wanted one of her own.The duvet is reasonably warm: it's enough for me in the winter, when our bedroom is at 12 Celcius. It isn't enough for my wife, who adds a second, conventional duvet on top. This weighted duvet breathes better than the cheap synthetic duvet I used before -- I don't wake up as sweaty as I used to.

Amazing quality, very heavy
I wasn't sure how to review this so I'll start with the best. This blanket is luxurious, it's fantastically made and alot of effort has gone into the material, stitching, beads etc. The 400 thread count on the blanket feels amazing. The cover is also 400 thread count cotton, again its fantastic quality. It was easy to tie to the cover, starting at the top and working your way down, finally zip closing the base. You can't feel the beads, they don't pool and the blanket stays with the cover.I went for a 9kg as I'm overweight this was the weight recommended for me (or even a 12kg). 9kg doesn't sound much in your mind but it really is a seriously heavy blanket, it pins you to the bed and moulds to your shape making movement really difficult. If used on top of a duvet (winter or summer) it's really hot. Because of the weight moving it from your bed to the sofa is a full on workout. I wish I'd gone for the 6kg from the same seller as the quality is amazing it's just too heavy.

Really cosy
I bought this to help me sleep as I have been struggling a bit over lockdown and with the general doom and gloom of 2020 early 2021. I am delighted to report that this weighted blanket has given me some much better nights sleep. I found it quite hard to sleep with it on the first night I tried it, but since then, I have felt warm, cosy, secure and relaxed - all of which have enabled me to get some much needed rest. Work our how much you weigh and then what between 7 & 12% of your body weight is before you buy. I am 9 stone and went for the 7kg weight, which I am very happy with.

Not evenly weighted. No weight in the middle.
We're a bit disappointed with this. My child likes it but I tried it recently and the weight is only in pockets around the edges and not very evenly placed either. One edge is heavier than the others (it's a shorter edge of the rectangle) there are hardly beads in the mid and centre areas of the blanket so you don't get the benefit of the weight on your body. Going to have to try a different brand. The cotton is quite nice, it's a nice dark grey good quality and good quality stitching too. Just a shame there's no real weight in the middle.

This is the first weighted blanket I've tried. I wanted something that wouldn't be too warm so I could use this in the warmer months as well as winter. The other weighted blankets I looked at only had covers that had very thick material. This is very soft and as it's made of cotton I would say it is suitable for all-year round use. I have CPTSD and have used this for the last 2 weeks and it has helped me. I use it for 30 minutes in the evening to help with relaxation. Great product.

You can see and feel the quality!
Having worked with fabrics for many years in tailoring, I am always very reluctant to buy anything on line made from fabric without being able to see or feel it first. However, on this occasion, I have to say that this blanket and cover are made with possibly the softest fabric I have ever felt and the stitching is excellent. Exceptional quality and the blanket has good weight balace throughout. Too early to review my sleep quality but I'm sure that will be a positive experience too. Very happy customer. Thankyou .

High quality blanket.
I received my weighted blanket and the delivery and outer packaging was fine as expected. The actual product packaging is first class and can be reused to store the blanket etc. The overall quality of the blanket is extremely high quality and I cannot believe how soft the 400 Thread cotton actually is. The glass filled pockets are very small and there’s no movement what so ever nor can you feel the glass filling so I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely highly recommend this brand of blanket.

Good to use in the day time
My autistic son loves this, nice and thin, could be a bit heavier but understand that the adult one might be too heavy. It got too hot for my son at bedtime. He uses it in the day to calm him, he’s quite a good sleeper anyway so doesn’t need it at night time.
