If you have $5 to THROW AWAY
I write very few reviews but I had to share on this one. This is absolutely a piece of junk. I would not have been so offended if I had bought it at the dollar store, but I did throw away my money on this one. Fell apart immediately. Does not "draw blood" like it says - you pull the mechanism out like you are drawing, then you push the red button on the top and and the red canister slams down in it. Not realistic in action at all. Fell apart in pieces which we are trying to put back together to use on Halloween for looks only but may just throw away. SAVE YOUR MONEY - we are going to keep looking for a better alternative. I actually bought an ear syringe on Amazon that came in today - and THAT looks more realistic than this piece of junk - so we may use that instead. Disgusted!!

GREAT IDEA THAT IS A LOT OF FUN
Although this product was made to be used as a gag, I saw great potential for children who are interested in the Medical Field.I bought this for my 5-year-old granddaughter who loves Doc McStuffin. The tiny "needle" works on a spring system that makes it relatively safe for her to play doctor. She not only can pretend to draw blood but she can also reverse the process to give red medication. When I bought this syringe, I first checked it out for myself to make sure that it was appropriate for my granddaughter. I strongly suggest that if anyone decides to buy this syringe for their children, make sure that they are supervised for the first few times to be sure that they use it as it was intended.I do not believe that children under the age of five should use this product. Please use appropriate caution, as I did, if you buy this product for children.

Cheaply made, but very fun
I have a 9 and 8 year old that played with this thing non-stop. It is cheaply made so it won't last long, however it is plenty of fun for them. They like to pretend to give shots, as well as the way the toy syringe works, you can pretend to draw blood too.

Good product, could use one improvement.
I think it needs stronger glue on the piece holding the plunger into the body of the syringe. After messing around with it for a while it came loose, which is not a big deal, you just press it back into place, but it can get a little annoying.Other than that it is great, the only think better that could have been done is extending the grey cap to cover the spring, but nobody is going to notice that.

Perfect Accessory for Your Halloween Costume
Looking for a good-lookiing fake? This one is it! Easy to handle. A breeze to use. Disappearing, retractable needle, smooth plunger and just the right amount of 'blood' in the vial. At a glance it looks like the real thing. Perfect for that shock-value moment. Holds up well and stores neatly for the next Halloween scare.

Okay for a Prop but NOT a Toy
Short story? This is a piece of garbage.I bought it as a prop for my Halloween costume. I can say it is NOT a toy. The needle part of it is fairly pointy - enough to hurt a child who decided to try to jab someone with it.It looks REALLY fake... I don't know what I was expecting exactly (maybe fake red liquid instead of a red plastic tube as blood?) - but this just looked silly. And it broke in 5 minutes. A friend asked to see it when I got to the party. He clicked it a few times and the spring came out and the whole thing fell apart.the only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of none is that it was cheap.

Excellent Product
The item was shipped exactly as described. I bought this for my niece who loves to play dress up doctor and it was perfect. She is having a blast giving us all injections. The shipping speed was better than expected. This item arrived before we thought it would. So much fun!
