SIMPATCH – Guardian, Enlite Adhesive Patch (25-Pack) – Waterproof Adhesive, CGM Patches – Multiple Color Options

This "overtape" for my Medtronic Guardian CGM sensor/transmitter is a huge improvement over the "oval" tape supplied by Medtronic. The SimPatch is very easy to apply wrinkle-free, and it certainly keeps the sensor secured for the 7 day life of the sensor. I've had no premature sensor failures since using SimPatch (about 6 weeks) -- a big improvement compared to my use of the default Medtronic tape over several years. SimPatch is also relatively easy to remove, with little or no adhesive residue left on my skin or the CGM transmitter. Well done!

PLEASE TRY IF YOU HAVE STRUGGLED TO KEEP YOUR SENSOR ATTACHED AS I HAVE IN THE PAST...…..I used patch to cover my sensor while on a cruise to the Caribbean. The SIMPATCH kept my sensor attached for 7 days even after getting in the ocean 5 of the 7 days, showers and exercising. Throw away adhesives that come with your sensors if you swim and are active and try these.Shave the area where sensor will go, clean with alcohol, insert sensor then patch....done! wait 2hrs before getting wet because your body heat activates the adhesive on the Simpatch.FYI....Pumper for 20+ years. I use Medtronic 670g pump with Guardian Enlite Sensor, I wear my sensor on my hip, below the waistline.

My husband is allergic to the standard tape that the Medtronic CGM comes with, so we've tried all sorts of alternatives throughout the years. This is the best that we've found, hands down. It's super simple to apply versus any of the taping methods recommended to us for the standard adhesive. We've been recommending them to all of our other T1 friends and family and will definitely be buying more once this batch runs out.

I started using a pump less than 6 months ago and right off the bat I learned that I hated the adhesive patches that came with the Medtronic Guardian Sensor 3. A box of 5 sensors comes with 10 patches, each sensor takes 2 patches, and the sensor has a life of 6 days. No, that's not a Common Core math problem, it's the company's mathematical logic - and it comes up short. I have never had enough to last all 5 sensors. I called Medtronic and asked to purchase more and was told that they don't sell them, and that if I wanted more I would have to buy more sensors and get 10 more patches. What the WHAT? I spent that much money on a unit that they don't offer their own product for? So I started looking for alternatives.Enter SIMPATCH. I asked the question about whether this particular patch would fit the Guardian Sensor 3 and received several answers from wonderful people who also use this patch. I ordered, received them quickly, and have been using them for two sensors now. They are fantastic! I get better coverage, they last the duration of the 6-day sensor - even with showering 1 or 2 times a day (clean freak!), and they are comfortable to wear. AND! Expected a "but" there didn't you? And, they don't leave a bad sticky film or hurt when removing them at the end of the 6 days. They are waterproof and that's a big deal for the unit that is not supposed to get wet. The Medtronic patches removed hair, left my skin red from where the patch was pulled off, and it would take a cursory alcohol wipes(s) clean-up to remove the sticky residue. "Cursory" meaning I cursed while doing it! Alcohol on irritated skin....not fun.I highly recommend this product and this seller. I will be placing SIMPATCH on my subscription purchase list. Also, experiment with the cool colors. I bought beige and already find myself boring. I'm moving up to blue next time.

To be honest about SimPatch.....LIFE SAVER!!!! I have tried every patch on the market and all of them never lasted me 7 days in the condition your patch looks after 7 days. (Above photo is after 7 days)SimPatch looks as good the 7th day on me as the first day I put it on. Thank you for such a quality product. I post it on Metronic sites that are designed to help other diabetics with questions about how to improve the quality of life with CGM’s and I post your product as my #1 reason for my success with NEVER losing a sensor before it’s time to replace it. In the very beginning I lost sensors after 2 or 3 days. Now, 7 days without any issues.And my job is hard on the body. I sell cars and getting in and out of cars 10/12 times a day that are 140 degrees inside, sweating, hitting the patch on mirrors and seat belts happens every day and all the other patch’s fell off. Amazing product.I recommend this product and swear by it. I can put my sensor in and patched in 4 minutes or less. Amazing. Using an adhesive and blow dryer works even better.Andrew

I've been using Simpatch for about 1 year and found it to be a good product that adhered well, large enough to cover and fairly easy to apply, much better than the ridiculous tape That Medtronics sends with their sensor. This order the patch had a hole in it that is not needed for the Medtronic Guardian sensor and was smaller over all. After the first application, about 8 hours later, I took my shirt off and the edge around the hole caught on my shirt and the whole sensor was off before I knew it. Every one has begin to come loose on the edges. So, I'm not sure if they changed the adhesive or not.I have encouraged people on support pages that needed another patch to use this.... No more and this will be my last purchase. Very disappointed.

This product is very secure — the stickiness is fabulous and lasts the full 7 days for my sensor. BUT... the rash and swelling from the adhesive is unbearable. Unfortunate because I absolutely love how secure they feel.
