This is not what is advertised. It states and shows a picture of a Canon brand remote - it is not. It is some cheap off brand that does not even work for the cameras that the description says it works for. Falsely advertised.

A remote control from Canon is offered, but they sent one of Vivitar brand, which, on top of that, it does not work in mi Canon T6i camera.

I have a Rebel T6i, which I love. I was asked to create a video tutorial about how I create some pieces of my art. This meant I had to 'jerry-rig' the phone to some shelving by my work area in order to get a good shot, but then I couldn't work the controls. This was the perfect solution! I will admit that the instructions that come with it are poorly written, but there are two nice people who made YouTube videos about how to set up the remote control. I'd suggest that you watch both videos since you'll have to adjust a setting on your camera and you'll need to understand the two markings on the back of the remote. Another nice thing - this particular set comes with an EXTRA button battery, so that's a big help since I usually don't have extra button batteries on hand. Plus, there is a small case that you can slide directly onto your camera strap. Anyway, this was just the ticket for stopping and re-starting the video as I worked through creating my tutorial.

It doesn't work, and it isn't the correct item

Doesn’t work on my T6s. Waste of money.

Unfortunately, I had to send it back since it was not working. After installing three batteries to make sure that it wasn't the battery, it still didn't work. I tried it on two different Canon cameras and it didn't work. I read the instructions, went on line to research how to use it, went on YouTube to watch the tutorials, and still no dice. I could only conclude that it was defective. Great packaging of other items though.

Read your camera instructions before buying this. Its a waste of money that I went to go use this and doesn't even work. I just wasted money on this to have to now go buy something else..

I can't get it to work on my Canon Rebel 60D. Supposedly it integrates with that model, but I have yet to figure it out. Will most likely be returning this.
