ARRMA 1/8 TYPHON 4X4 3S BLX Brushless 4WD RC Buggy RTR with 2.4GHz Radio (Battery Not Included), Red (ARA102722)

I have mostly had nitro truggies in the past, still do, but I wanted something straight forward for my son so he could keep up with my Losi truggy. We had a cheap Red Cat truck for him, and he outgrew it quickly. This thing runs like greased lightning! Definitely on par with the Losi, and with a 2S battery, I can't see him getting into too much trouble on his own. I'll probably save the 3S as a "Daddy battery", but at last we'll have two vehicles that either of us would be happy to be driving.I'm not a hardcore R/C guy, I fly planes and helis more, so I can't speak to hardcore track use, only light bashing about once every week or two. For that, this thing seems ideal. It flips pretty easy, but I think that's part of the fun. On the reverse, you do have to come to a full stop before it will engage, likely so you don't year the transmission in two. I'm sure we'll break it, and soon, but I'm hoping it's the beginning of longer conversations on care and repair, so that suits my purposes. The stock radio is crap, no doubt, but pretty slick for a ~$300ish RTR kit, and fits the purpose just fine.A+, very happy, would buy again and recommend.

I set up and took it to the track for racing. It drives very consistent, handling great, predictable slides (on and off power). Plenty of kick and speed. Only slight downside on the driving is controlling angle on air, not as easy as 6s. Other than that, everything else is great. Radio is crap, upgrade as soon as possible. one glitch every 5 min or so. I upgraded shocks, steering servo from the get go, but stock should work similar. Fantastic buggy overall, very easy to go fast.

My son and I both love this thing . If you have the right battery and set the punch setting on the esc to 5 ( the factory was set to 3) it's a blast.

The shock are very weak plastic and broke in the first day I bought it I hate the fact that you pay 400$ for a the car alone then have to spend 150$ on a good charger and battery this shoudl all comes toghter for the price you pay for it becsue it’s not built the best you will end up spending hundreads of dollars on all new aluminum parts to make it durable to be able to beat it up

Shocks leak from the factory and assembly of the differentials cause the ring and pinions to bing up and finish performance.

Wow wow wow!!! This thing RIPS! Not over powered and great handling even at wide open. Stock this baby is a Beast! Great seller and Great product!

This is the one you want. It is the best handling of the bunch. 3s very fast. Love it.

Hello I am an rc enthusiast. I'm not going to brand you to death with what rc's I have. Let's start with speed, guessing that's the point. This thing is fast out of the box. Parts are hard to come by, simply do a parts search on amazon before buying. Speaking of parts. Your going to need them. The plastic is ridgid not soft. Causing alot of fractures. The string block breaks in hard cornering no collision. A simple head on bump is common with Rc's. We all have done it. Don't bump anything with this car I destroyed the frount and with a medium speed bump about 8 to 10 mph. I have had to fix something on this thing every time I have picked it up the strongest part is the spoiler oddly enough. I have had to rig parts of outher name brand Rc that are not supose to fit just to be able to drive it without needing to fix. My friends referred this car as fast and flimsy.

High quality, fast, handles on rail. Arrma all the way. My 5 year old loves it and so do I!
