All positives: 1) Gets rid of lense flair 2) Has an inner threaded to attach to the lense plus an outer thread to attach a UV filter or circular polarizor 3) Protects the lense from scratches and dents..you know they happen 4) Great price for the quality 5) should really be #1...its gives the camera a professional asthetic with a serious business appeance.

This metal lens hood is a perfect fit for my LX100, is a well made quality product and appears to be an exact copy of the Panasonic version at a much lower price. Be sure to buy a center pinch lens cap when you use this hood as it is difficult to reach the release buttons on the outer edge of the lens cap that comes with the camera when the hood is in place.

If not fit tightly it shows up in photos

Nice shade, well made, fair price, fits my Leica D-Lux 109 perfectly on the outside of a Hoya UV filter. Does not interfere with the function of the camera in any way.

Works well and protect the lens. It also fit in with leather camera cover without taking it off.

Sturdy metal (not plastic) lens hood. Looks great mounted on my Panasonic LX-100. I'd give it six stars if it came with the camera.

Mixed feelings. Sees well built, thread is good. Still, not too sure how much difference this actually makes to your shot nor on protection since the barrel of the lx100 is by design rather humble.To add to it, I bought the 'auto' lens cap, and you can't use the two together. Preference went to use the auto-lens cap, thus this is now in a drawer doing nothing!Something to note, this item was bought from Cameramarket UK, and it arrived with the product box a little worse for ware although the product itself was fine. Didn't have any protection from being squashed under other post basically. Although not an issue for me, bear this in mind if you are intending in giving this as a gift!

This biggest issue i had was that the standard lens cap is incredibly difficult to put on and take off as there's no finger room between the cap and the hood edge. You have to get a finger nail I'm there to flip it out.Apart from that, it does what you'd expect.

Good lens hood but don’t use it with a filter attached as you will get vignetting. Also although you can still use the original lens cap with this fitted it is almost impossible to remove it again without taking the lens hood off first.

Guess it was ok I bought it in behalf of a friend and they haven't complained so I guess it works?

Well made, robust, perfect fit and tailor-made for the intended equipment: would recommend it as a vital addition for both protection from stray light and sundry knocks.
