Affordable and easy to install
This worked like a charm. Our ac went out when it was 90 degrees for days., this came fast and was easy to install and we were back up and running in no time

Great value for a DIY central a/c repair
My central A/C unit suddenly stopped working during a heatwave, and I quickly came across this for a replacement after comparing symptoms to a faulty capacitor. The capacitor is sturdy and seemingly well built. Repairing my unit with this was very simple, and in less than 10 minutes, my A/C unit was working again. It has been holding strong for over a year now, and the value for this was huge. I saved so much money compared to calling in a technician for repairs. If my central a/c unitโs capacitor runs into any problems, I will have no problems coming back to this one.

works
Seems to work fine. Easy install and three terminals are marked well and stamped to ensure they are easy to read. It is about 50 percent larger than the OEM Cap. I had room but if you are limited in space be careful.

It works
Great product, it's larger than the previous capacitor but it works and my air conditioner works again.

Measure twice order once.
Like any of you who are reading the review, I have a similar story AC stopped working, hottest day of the year, partner decided to blame you, etc. So what do we do? We google what could be wrong, decide it's probably the capacitor, and go outside and check on the capacitor value. Perfect right? WRONG! You actually need to do 2 things not one (before you start though make sure you pull / turn off the fuse to the ac unit! This will keep you safe, additionally you should discharge the capacitor Just do this first, your life is most important). 1. Read the capacitor value. The capacitor value should be printed on the side. If you are here you already know your value, yet. 2. Measure the capacitor "Length and width". This is important. When i started looking around I realized there are multiple capacitor widths, and some of them is much "skinnier" than this one. My bracket has no real way to adjust the capacitor holding without "bending it" which won't hold it well, and feels frankly dangerous. You want the thing that is sending 440V of power to be securely fastened right? Don't "make do" get something that fits right. MEASURE the LENGTH and WIDTH! As to this capacitor, honestly I will withhold my judgement. It does work, but I dont' know about the quality yet. It does have the standard "poles" (2 for the fan, 3 for the HERM, 4 for common). It's also made in China. Honestly I would feel better about it if it was made in Mexico or USA, but the few made in the USA capacitors I found were the wrong size, and once again, DON'T MAKE DO.

Great capacitor
My AC unit started blowing non-cool air a couple of months ago and I didnโt think of it because it was winter. But now that summer was coming and weโve had a couple of hot days I thought it important to address the issue. I didnโt want to call the typical hvac specialist because unfortunately all they do is overcharge you to the sun and back for basic simple things. Prior to the non-cooling issue happening, I had the hvac specialist come and perform and routine inspection. They told me a lot of things needed to be fix. All in all, everything wouldโve cost $7k. I definitely didnโt want to pay so I said I would take care of it later. One of the issues the technician pointed out was that my run capacitor was almost out. Fast forward to recently, I decided that the likely culprit was the capacitor so I got a multimeter, watched a YouTube on how to evaluate and change it, and then installed it. It was relatively straightforward (with help from a friend who was a specialist via the phone). This capacitor is actually the same as the factory stock one I had in my system prior. I realized this when I decide to relocate the sticker so that it is visible once installed. You will see from the images I posted that the original sticker is visible. All in all, the install for good, the three prongs may be what I removed which made it easier the only thing was the color difference. So keep track of the wiring. Still there are indicators for HERM, C (common), And FAN so as long as you know which wire is what you are good. The total cost I spent is the cost of the capacitor ($17) plus the cost of the multimeter ($150), plus the cost of the short arm ratchet screwdriver ($10). The quoted fix by the technician for this specific issue (bad capacitor) was $700. If not for my need to get a good long lasting multimeter, the cost wouldโve been all under $50. The final values I got were 5 for the fan-common connection and 44.7 for the herm-common connection. These are inline with the 45/5 +-6%

Worked perfectly as replacement
AC condenser unit was humming but not turning on. Matching part number was $60+ local and had to be shipped in. Found this matching VAC and uf spec unit on Amazon, got it the next day, took 15 min to install and the unit is fixed and working perfectly. Time will tell how good this one is, but for now, the house is cold and the family is cool and happy!
