SNAGERZ Mesh Drain Strainers - Hair Catchers

Rusts! How is this appropriate for a tub? It fits well, stays put, and is easy to clean but it started rusting within a few days. For now I am taking it out of the drain after each shower which is pain, will look for something made for a wet application.

I put the larger one in my bathtub. It was working OK at first, but now it's very rusted out. I bought this product only 2 months ago, so this is unacceptable to me.I have been using the smaller size in my bathroom sink with no real issues. It fits fine and is doing its job, for now. I suppose this is why I gave the product 2 stars instead of 1.I do not recommend this product. I am going to try to find a rubber/silicone replacement for these.

These work best for me! Thr plastic ones always move around and the water doesn't drain through quickly enough regardless of whether the screen is clean or not. These metal ones don't have that problem. The only thing that annoys me is that I only use the large one and have to buy the set. I wish they came in a package with 2 large ones and no small one. Can't use the small one in the bathroom sink because the toothpaste residue clogs it up quickly.

Bought this for my mother. It can't be stainless steel. The first one started rusting in a few weeks. They said we needed to remove it and dry it after every use. What a pain. Stainless steel should not rust like that. Installed the second. Removed and dried daily. Still started rusting in a few weeks. Save your money and buy a plastic strainer.

They work but after they catch a little hair they start to backup and catch soap/shampoo/etc.After 5 minutes they get so backed up that they do not work as strainers anymore but rather they become drain plugs.They MUST be cleaned out after every shower or you'll be taking a bath.

This product became rusty in my bathtub/shower drain really quickly. I used the smaller of the two strainers as it was the size that fit the drain. Also, it was really hard to clean the inside of the strainer where all the particles were trapped. It did catch debris from showering, but because of the difficulty of removal and the rust factor, I do not recommend this product.

They definitely block hair, but the mesh is so fine that it will get blocked up by soap & shampoo in one or two uses. By the second shower, this thing was blocking the drain. I use bar soap. I was cleaning the hair out each day, but it takes a major washing to get the soap residue out. Will be looking for a better solution.

It rusts very quickly. Don't waste your money. I got a plastic/rubber one from Home Depot for less money that will work well and not rust. Additionally, the small one is useless. It doesn't fit anything. I can't imagine what it can be used for.
