Unbelievably, on my SUV I have to take the entire trim panel off the inside of the hatch, to get to the license plate bulbs. It's a big job and hard to do without breaking the panel clips. After the second bulb went out in a matter of a couple of months I decided to go with LED instead. Of course, these could also fail but they usually last longer than incandescent bulbs especially in an environment where there is a lot of vibration. These bulbs work great and actually make the car look nicer due to their bright white light : )

The lamps work fine! Check polarity if it doesn't work for you. Low wattage is great, they don't heat as much as incandescent lamps and have the same if now better brightness. The only wish is that the color temperature would be warmer; this white is too cold, but for the license plate it's ok.

Brighter than the original 194 halogen bulbs that came with the car. Enough light for the license plate but not overly bright where it bothers other drivers on the road. Just what I was looking for. No errors and perfect fit in the 194 socket. Both bulbs have consistent color temperature.

These bulbs work great! I manage a fleet of around 15 small vehicles and some have up to 8 194 bulbs in the exterior lighting. We used to burn through them a lot. I put LEDs in one vehicle quite some time ago and finally decided to switch all the vehicles over. I like that they aren't too extreme since other bulbs I looked at were way too bright any have way too many LEDs for some of my applications as they would drown out other lights. These are definitely brighter than stock and dont delay or flicker. Since they are polarized simply make sure the light comes on before reassembling anything, and if it doesn't work flip it around. I had no issues so far with the first 20, and none with what I have used out of my second pack. Will definitely order a third time when I get down to a couple left.

This will replace SOME 194 lamps, the problem is the male extension which goes into the female socked is so thick that for some sockets, it just will not go or else it bends the contacts in the socket t where it doesn't make good contact. Other than that, if it does go into the socket, you may need to bend the contacts to the side so that proper contact will be made for the lamp to work. The cost is great, the amount of light is great, but fitting the socket is not. I had some sockets in which it worked well (a larger opening) and some in which I could barely get it into the socket at all.
