Mophie Carrying Case (Holster) for Smartphone - Black 1230_HH-6500-BLK

The product was as expected. I had tried other products via Amazon: they were too tight, as I have a Motorola Droid (with keyboard), protected by a Trident case which I purchased on Amazon. Together, they make the product too thick to fit in the numerous cases for sale online for I-phones, Samsung phones, etc. I found this product in a retail store for about 40 bucks. My phone fit in it, thought snugly, and I could still close the magnetic catch. The product I received was the same as in the store, still a bit snug, but my phone and case fit inside, and I was still able to close the outer leather case. I am still searching for a case which I can attach to my belt, which will hold my entire phone and Trident case, and yet allow me to remove my phone quickly without having to "wrestle" it from the case.

I was so glad to see that there was a way to carry my new iPhone with its awesome Mophie juice pack. Unfortunately, I neglected to realize that (for me anyway) where I wanted to carry the phone on my person had two problems: 1) if my pants are not quite snug, the weight of the phone pulls it forward (a belt may solve this, but not all my dress trousers are made for this); and 2) the action of opening the holder to get my phone out draws undue attention to parts of my female anatomy because of where it sits on my torso (an issue unfortunately realized after noting the stares from my male co-workers). So, I've bequeathed it to my husband who is happy to have it, and I'll live with the idea of carrying my phone around in my hand or in a pocket.

This is a nice looking, well made case. For most people it's probably a very good buy. For me, when I'm buckling my belt if the clip is clipped to the belt, the case often pops off, and my phone descends to the floor along with the case. Perhaps this is just my problem, but I need a more secure hold on the belt. If I were suggesting, I might want a lock on the bottom of the clip to keep it from unclipping. In the meantime I bought a case with belt loops AND a clip.

I've had the holster for a little over a month, so I can't comment on durablity. Functionally, it's a simple design that works. There's enough room for the device, and the phone and Mophie can slide in and out without forcing it. The "slot" at the bottom allows you to push the phone out without risking hitting the "decline" button on top of the phone.

My previous case had broken and I purchased this one to hold my Iphone with my Mophie case. It serves the purpose. At times it muffles the sound so if you are in a place with a lot of noise you may not hear your phone ringing. On occasions I have felt the phone vibrate to know a call was coming in.

This is a nice case. I can't recommend it fully as the belt clasp breaks easily. I've ordered two of these and after a month or so, the case has become useless as the clasp has broken. The case is nicely constructed and feels good on your hip

this has the street cred as being the cadillac of cases and generally speaking I agree. I wish in future editions they would replace the plastic horizontal hinge pin with a metal horizontal hinge pin, the case is well made and VERY durable, twice I have had to get the case replaced through MOPHIE and I will tell you straight up that they have wonderful customer service, it is a good brand. MOPHIE please try and change to a metal horizontal hinge pin

Update 11/7/12: The warranty replacement holster broke over the weekend after about a month of use. Don't waste your money on this product.Like many of the other reviews here, my plastic clip broke after a couple of months. The metal clip was SO much better but it appears the manufacturer has decided cheaper is better - for them. I sat down in a chair with arms and the phone snagged on the arm then the clip let go. Had this happened with the old metal clip (and it did many times) the clip would simply have slipped off my belt. Too bad - the rest of the holster seems to be just fine. My advice is to avoid it if possible and find something that is not as fragile.
