Well-made product
My previous hardwood installs were done with adhesive, and I wasn't about to go through that mess again, so I decided to buy a stapler. I research heavily before I make a purchase such as this, and as usual, it paid off. I drove about 4000 staples on the first job with this stapler and it went great! It was easy to set up, easy to use, lightweight but not cheaply made, and the learning curve was smooth and easy! As long as you make certain the stapler is positioned correctly on the board you're good to go. Once you get it positioned, you just slide it along the board and fire however often you want. I stapled every two inches approximately. I tend to go into overkill, but I didn't want squeaks. This was much easier and faster and cleaner than using adhesive, and with the price of manufacturer-approved adhesives being what they are, this stapler is a real bargain, considering I can use it on future jobs.

Nice Product
Product arrived on time and in great condition. I am installing Brazilian Teak which is extremely hard. The gun has had a couple of mis-fires which were likely user error combined with the fact that this is extremely hard wood. This gun feels like it is a product designed to be a quality product meant to be used everyday. At the same time, the mag body allows it to be lightweight.

Wood floors in the whole house!
We were told to purchase this stapler by the guys a a flooring store (LL). We were installing a room of enginered 1/2" hardwood in our 10" X 12" dining room. It was easy to use and set the depth. Once you get going, it flys. When we were done, my wife said that that was easy, how about the living room. After the living room came our massive kitchen, two of the upstairs bedrooms, and a bathroom for good measure. The stapler was flawless. I was going to sell it, because we wood floored up, most of the house. My wife said to keep it, just in case! After all that flooring, it looks like new. Never a jam or any kind of issue. Well made.

Do not order from Boston Industrial
Ordered a Bostitch LHF97125-2 from Boston Indusrial thru Amazon. They sent LHF2025K. The model I ordered is needed to install Shaw flooring which staples thru the groove, not the tongue. The LHF2025K model is preset for Bruce flooring which staples thru the tongue. They did not notify me of substituing a different model that costs more than $70.00 less. Yet they charged me for the ordered model. An agent with Boston Industrial stated they haven't had the ordered model for 6 months and have been substituting a different model that was newer and had updated features. Boston Industrial lists the Bostitch LHF97125-2 as being in stock and have been intentionally defrauding customers by substituing models that cost less and charging the higher price for a model they don't have. If it was known to them for 6 months that they don't carry a certain model, why didn't they remove the model they weren't stocking. I was hoping to install 400sqft of flooring to surprise my wife for Christmas. Now I have to reorder the right model from another vendor. To me, this was a deliberate act of fraud.

Buy The Staples Online
I ordered the staple gun and thought that I'd get the staples locally. This was a bad move; I have searched Home Depot, Lowes and a major hardward store in the Dallas Mextroplex without success. Definitely, order the staples when you order the stapler. I will end up ordering the staples online which will push my schedule back 2 weeks due to the Christmas holidays. Whenever I get to use the stapler, I'll let you know how it worked. BTW. I'm laying 1/2 inch 5" wide hand scraped. I used glue to do my walk in closet and it was so messy and tiresome, but the floor came out beautifully. Hopefully, using the staple down method will be easier.Update: I finally began using the gun. It is easy to use once you get the hang of it and the height adjustment correct. It too me 1 1/2 mins. initially to staple a 5 ft. plank, once I got the hang of it it took about 30 secs. It is definitely great for the DIY installing floors around the house. I would rate the product 4 stars.

Very good nailer with some dislikes
I am a general contractor who installs hardwood floors very often. I've used various other nailers and this is the first Bostitch flooring nailer for me. I've had 18ga brad nailer before and it did not last long. About 2years of use, it started to fire 2 nailers at a time. Which can be dagerous and at the same time you ruin the material that you shoot the nails into. Here are some of the things that I like and dislike.I like it because it's the lightest flooring nail gun you can find. The brand name covers good warrantee. You can adjust to the thickness of the flooring materials very easily and quickly. It has good safety nose which will not fool you nor mar the material. Uses very low air consumption.I do not like it because it uses weird size staples that you can not find local home centers. No carrying case. The quick thickness adjustment needs correction every once in a while. The footing is not big enough for stabilityI've been using Porta-nail's model 461 flooring nailer and it's much better than this. It uses normal 1/4" staples which you can find from anywhere. Big foot for stability, case etc. This nailers is a certainly good one, but I rather have Porta-Nail's over many reasons. Check them out for yourself and decide.

Great and Easy To Use Tool
I bought this after giving up being on a waiting list two weeks to rent one from a local hardware store. Glad I bought it. Not only is it a great tool and easy to use, but since I don't have to worry about returning a rental, I can take my time on the installation. I had never done this before, but it's been very easy installing the 3/8 engineered flooring I purchased for our remodel. I've put in about 800 square feet without any problems. Even my 9 year old son has had no problems operating this tool. If you are going install new 3/8" hardwood, save yourself a samll fortune by buying one of these and doing it yourself.
