Shots in the Dark: True Crime Pictures Paperback – October 1, 2001

As someone that loves true crime and is planning to work the field this book is amazing. The photos aren't for those unaccustomed to real gore, however they are fascinating.If you love true crime and aren't squeamish, I highly recommend this book.

I bought this book to see folks who had passed away. There were a few, but not so many as the other book. It's not the book's fault for it did not know why I'd bought it and it exists for its own sake and not to be compared to another book.

This came in the mail yesterday. I was doing my taxes. I really wanted to put my taxes aside and look at this book. I ended up finishing the taxes-- Federal and both states-- then I rewarded myself with a glass of wine and this book. Gory, horrible, mortal, the pictures selected had a fascinating quality. I would find myself acknowledging that there was a dead body in the room, but looking instead at the shoes, the furnishings and the surroundings. I would have liked to have known more about some of the photographed crime scenes, but for the most part details had to be gleaned from the background. I found the autopsy photographs much less interesting.Coincidentally I read this before the latest debate about a live streamed murder which I hadn't seen and do not intend to seek out. Odd isn't it that I would be interested in these photographs which I would look at much longer and in more detail than a video.

Makes you wonder what ever happened to unbiased newspapers. This shows the gritty reality of crime on the streets without blaming the Conservatives or the NRA. Back in the days when you could gun someone down with impunity. .

I bought this book brand new and once I opened the package i was pretty annoyed. The side was taped up and the corners are all bent. I got this book for my mother as part of her birthday gift, she's a mortician and loves these type of books. I'm sure she'll still enjoy the book but I wanted to give her something nice and we'll nice doesn't look nice or new...

Most interesting collection of crime scene photos. Like stepping into the age of the classic gangster and mob boss.

Pictures of death... what's not to love?!

Fascinating book, all be it a little morbid. Thai is the first I've purchased a second hand book from this seller but I am very happy. Book is near perfect with just a tiny tear in the spine, but all pages were perfect and undamaged. Very happy overall

I bought this as a present for my sister who, like me, has a grim fascination with stuff our parents think is distasteful. This is a very interesting book with some really interesting photos and information. It is full of pictures you wouldn't normally get to see. If you are reading this I strongly recommend you buy it. :)
