What is the no load power draw in amps?

I just went out and did a 10 minute test, it drew approx. .25 amp no load. Hopefully this helps.

My alarm sounds continuously and red light stays on. I've tried several batteries and the cigarette outlet. All read over 12v on my multimeter. Why?

Must problems people have with inverters is that their not using proper wire gage rod the power supply secondly when using a cigarette lighter for the power supply it simply is under powered the in line fuse is only 10a or 15a so you only supplying 120dc watts or 180 dc watts and expecting to produce 300ac watts = 2.5 ac amps = 300 dc watts. So get a minimum of #10 wire from the battery to the inverter.
