I've found these to be better than the Knipex Pliers Wrench, they're easier to use
I've had the 10" Knipex Pliers Wrench for 8 years and do appreciate the German quality, strength, and design, however, I was very happy when Irwin came out with their copy after the Knipex Pliers Wrench patent expired a few years ago. I bought the Irwins from Lowes the first week they were available. And then the 8" from Amazon. I love that the Irwins are less than half the price and have the Irwin rapid adjust saw-tooth ratchet action so the jaws can be quickly and easily shrunk down to the gap you want. The Knipex have a little more precision and slightly narrower jaws but are a pain in the ass to adjust compared to the Irwins, I do suspect the Knipex may be a bit stronger, but I actually prefer the Irwins for general use, love the Irwin's soft, but tough, handle covers, and haven't broken any of my pliers yet. I really like these Pliers Wrench designs and have the Knipex 10" and 5" and with the Irwins, I have two 10" and three 8" tools.

Really nice, smooth jaws
I have two of these, the regular one with the teeth and this smooth one. It's well made and it works. It's easy to use. It's a very good price. The jaws are not super smooth, like on the more expensive model, but it's fine. I used channel locks for years but I really prefer these. If you are going to work with plumbing or bolts that you don't want to scratch up, this is great. If you aren't familiar with the locking mechanism, there's some great videos. I just push the button and set it. That's it.

I like it!
Its pretty good, a little cheap and weird in areas. its sintered steel, so not hyper durable, and they painted the jaw faces which was a weird call. the exposed metal is prone to rust. I keep my inside, and they are starting to show rust after less than 6 months

Get some
Love the Irwin pliers line. Keep a set in the RV and the truck. Comfortable, functional, what's not to love... Nothing.

Great tool.
Besides whatever these were originally designed to be used for, if you’re into assembling AR-15 lowers, these are OUTSTANDING at pressing in roll pins. I’ve used these on several lowers and I’ll can say is I wish I had learned of them sooner.

The handles are not parallel
The handles are never parallel no matter how you adjust them. Close to the the jaws they are closer together but you have less leverage. Further from the jaws you are grabbing with your hand spread out which weakens your grip. That makes it less comfortable and less useful. Other brands have parallel handles with the jaws closed.I won't use it because of the handles. There will always be a better tool for the job. I could see this tool being completely unusable for a person with smaller hands. It would be an easy fix to make the handles parallel and seems like a design flaw to me. I hope they fix it in the future.Aside from that it looks good and it is cheaper than similar tools from other brands.

Excellent quality
Love they are button locked. You never get smashed fingers if the pliers slip.

Works well, but rattles.
The plier wrench works well, it's well made but the design leaves the jaw such that when the tool is in your bag the jaw rattles (which I find to be annoying). I would go as far as to say it's a suitable alternative to the knipex plier wrench.

The one pliers wrench that can pressed directly down and in.
Unlike the more expensive brands, this pliers wrench with smooth edges can be used on wood and other situations where you are trying to push in an object like a peg spool backward (toward you from the other side of the wood) and easily locks and opens to adjust the width of the board. This is not a large one so great for delicate work such as on musical instruments.

They work
Definitely not a Knipex. They still work but leaves a lot to be desired.

great idea but
Adjusting it takes two hands really which is regularly a pain in difficult spaces, a slightly different design could make one hand adjustment easy.
