This projector is AWESOME - Buy it!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I didn’t put TVs in my kids rooms because I didn’t want them watching all the time nor did I want to pay more for cable. However, my son has been playing video games with his friends and watching YouTube videos on his phone or laptop, so for his 15th birthday I decided to get him a projector for his room.I read a lot of reviews and was concerned they may not be unbiased, but there were enough positive comments, articles, & videos that I decided to go for the Leisure 430.I am pleased to report that he set it up in his room (using Apple adapter) & it’s working great. Is it super hi def 4K? No, be realistic - it’s a projector on drywall -BUT is it pretty freaking awesome for about $100? Absolutely! He set it up in the afternoon with regular curtains closed. His room was dark but not pitch black and the quality was still impressive. Sound is okay & the fan isn’t too loud (but maybe he’ll get speakers for Xmas). The unit was a little bigger & heavier that I expected but still portable and I’m glad it’s not flimsy. I can even see it being used for movie nights outside (we live in the sticks).Yes, if you leave any kind of review (good, bad, other) you get your choice of accessory, but I paid full price, leave reviews all the time (check my profile), & I’m always honest. I’m going to post a video - hopefully it comes through OK because I think it will speak to the quality. Keep in mind right now it’s on a yellow wall with stickers so it will only get better when we get a screen.I am really happy with this purchase (even though the boy may never leave his room now)!

Excellent performance value!
It was 2005 that I purchased my first movie projector. It plays DVD's, very expensive, big &clunky & gets pretty hot after one movie. Once you set it in your living room or basement, you don't move it. It was eventually replaced by another big and expensive unit. Now it's 2019 and thanks to technology, new LED projectors are out in the market thatare smaller, lighter, more A/V connection options & costs about as much as a replacementbulb for the old style projectors. Are they any good?I acquired the Vankyo Leisure 430 because of it's size and price. It's about 9 inch wide, 7 inch deep& 3 1/2 inch tall & about 2.8 pounds. Very light and small in size. That's a big check mark forportability. It comes with it's own carrying case. A nice bonus! I can bring it everywhere with me.As for connections, it has an HDMI for blue ray players, PS4, Nintendo Switch etc. A USB portwhere you can watch movies or look at pictures using a USB drive, or for connecting a Fire stickif you want an internet connection. Hook up your laptop or PC with an RGB cable. An SD cardslot is also provided. Instead of an RCA connection, it comes with a mini phono jack but it comeswith a phono jack to RCA adapter so you can use your old VCR's, video cameras & DVD players.Again that's a checkmark for A/V connections versatility. Now for the fun part......projecting! First up, my son hooked it up with his PS4. Picture qualitywas very good even on a light green wall. I set up my projection screen and it looked evenbetter. Well, that's obvious. Next up, my daughter's Nintendo Switch & her USB drive witha few homemade videos. No problems at all. Lastly I tried connecting it to my Karaoke player.Yup. as expected, it worked without a glitch. This is the application where I really wanted touse the mini projector. Now I don't have to lug around a big screen TV. Since this can dorear projection as well, I'm all set. By the way, I tried projecting it (rear) on my 4-panel DJscrim made out of white lycra and it was surprisingly good!If you watch movies, I recommend that your viewing area is dimly lit to dark. That is whereyou'll get the most saturated colors. For viewing text like Karaoke, I can get away withambient room lighting. And I use the mini jack for my powered speakers for bigger sound. For a projector this small, the picture quality is great. For $100, this is a great buy! For those who can only afford low budget gear, you will notbe disappointed given all the features this mini projector has to offer.

Great projector for portability!
Vankyo Leisure 430 Projector ReviewOverall Rating (4.5/5):This projector is easy to use with a good picture and good sound. I’m happy with it. Full 1080p projectors or 4k projectors are of course going to be better, but there is the portability benefit to this projector. I can carry it around my house or even outside much easier than I would be able to one of those. I would recommend this projector to anyone looking for a middle of the line projector for portability. If you need a good picture with good sound without breaking the bank then this is the one to get.Packaging and contents:The projector comes with a very nice padded black carrying case with dual zippers. Included with this is the projector, a power cable, an HDMI cable, a female rca to 3.5mm male connector, and the remote.Projector and Connections:The projector is pretty easy to plug in with just the basic connections including HDMI, VGA, Audio Out, Headphones out, and one usb connection. I just plugged in the power cable which actually takes a bit more force than I was expecting, and then I plugged in the HDMI to my Xbox one. Power, back, menu, ok, up, down, and side to side are all included as buttons on top. Each has a decent feel to it and gives good feedback when I tried them. The included remote has similar buttons, and each also has a nice response to it. I could see both the projector and remote buttons lasting as they are good quality. The projector itself does make some noise when turned on, but it’s not too bad. It’s equal to the sound of a desk fan on low, so it doesn’t bother me when I’m watching or playing something. Additionally, while watching about an hour of a show the projector really didn’t get hot.Projector Menu Choices:The menu has selections for Picture, Sound, and Options. Everything I’ve tested so far as been very responsive and quick. It’s nice as powering on or off even is instantaneous. For the options selection, I prefer the Vivid option along with the Music here. I’ll go back later and update this review once I’ve messed around with the User options a bit more.Projector Image and Sound:While watching Supernatural on Netflix, the image shows as very clear with good colors. It’s not as crisp as what you would get with a native 1080p projector, but it’s definitely enjoyable especially given how portable this projector is. As with most projectors, you will need a dark area or dark room to enjoy it though. This projector also gets plenty loud. Even with someone talking to me normally I can still hear Supernatural easily. If you need a portable projector or don’t need full 1080p then get this one!

Resolution not as advertised
Quick delivery good quality for the price. But advertised as 1080p supported. But seems to only be 720p at best.
