OK for softball T work
For the price, this net was worth it. I set it up by myself, though it took about 15 minutes (mostly to figure out how to get the 2 composite linker poles into the connectors). The ends of the two linker poles connect at 90 degrees in a plastic connector (the poles are first threaded through the nylon boarder of the net). The first 3 ends went in without too much trouble but I really had to push with all my strength to get the 4th pole end into the connector. There are 3 little U shaped stakes that are used to hold the net down (if you have a grass yard, those wouldn't work in artificial turf). I just set it up on the side of the yard and left it there. My daughter went out and did T work into the net. Over the course of about 1 year it started to weather and it finally started ripping (first the netting, which I stitched up with some string and then the nylon holding the poles ripped). When the nylon went the net was no longer functional. If you don't have to take it down and put it up, it does just the job we wanted. I'm going to buy another one. If it lasts a year, the $40 cost is well worth it. I definitely would not use this net if I had to set it up and take it down every time we wanted to use it. If you have an old piece of carpet I would put that down in the open area inside the net. Weeds started growing in that area and I think that's what tore the netting. If I had been less lazy it might have lasted a little longer. We have a JUGS pop up net that we take back and forth for use at our team practices. It's easier to set up and take down (...once you get the hang of folding it up).

Not Bad
I got this for my kids (5&7) to hit softballs and baseballs into, as well as for me to hit golf balls. So far so good. I do not love the design and having to put this together and take it down after. I would like to just fold and store it but unfortunately that is not possible and may be another reason the others are more expensive. For the price you cannot really beat the deal especially if you are only using it once and a while. If I was using this daily I would go with one that folds down and goes up quick because this can take a few minutes to set up and I usually have to have another person with me.Feels fairly sturdy but I will update after a few months.Suggestion, when taking it down do not pull the poles out, push them through.

very large net
This thing is big. It does say "7'" right in the title, but it didn't really hit me until I got it all setup. It Works OK as a backstop when I am soft tossing to my son to hit baseballs (it is a pain because everything goes to the back of the net). I works even better when he hits off a Tee into the net. It also works well for stopping golf balls, even full swing driver shots if it is staked down. Now for the cons. I can't say enough how big this thing is. It is unwieldy to move around. It is a real pain to store when it is assembled, and I really hate tearing it all apart and putting it together every time I want to use it. Also, after one season of use, I have the beginning of a hole in on of the nylon sleeves, all of the connectors on the shock-cord poles are cock-eyed, and I don't think for a second that the plastic corner pieces will make it through another year. I'm not sure I'd buy this item again.

Our 3rd one
This will be our third one. The kids use them for soccer and baseball. We leave them up for days and that's when the weather or my landscaper trying to move them, breaks the connecting rods (our fault). Be careful when moving them or you WILL break the fiberglass type rods. Take your time the first few times and get the bottom connectors right or it will collapse easily. I would glue and tape back but it's not worth the headache after a while. At this price, I'll get a new one every six months. Paint the connectors with bright paint, as they will fall off and be hard to find in the grass. Great price, and now we have extra parts from previous purchases.

Works for playing Golf indoors
I set up the net by myself and found it was easy since I have experience with dome tents. The instructions were clear and the net didn't require anchoring (for golf at least). Tip for doing it yourself, have something to push against when bending the poles. My home range setup was on a tile floor so I recommend using a rug if you are practicing golf. The balls would catch and rebound off the floor (mostly when using a driver). Some would catch and dive into the back of the net.Net material is a little to thin and looks like it could tear if mishandled when assembling or breaking down. The poles, sleeves, stitching, carrying bag, and grommets look well assembled. Works for Golf, haven't tried any other ball sports.Overall I am happy with the net for the price paid.

Works, but not super durable
Net ripped sooner than I think it should have for an outdoor active sport tool.

Not Great....
Bought this to put in my backyard for my 8 year old daughter to practice hitting into. It only lasted a week.1. The poles were too long. I tried and tried and couldn't figure out why the poles would not bend enough to get into the ends of the netting only to finally realize that they were too long. After I cut off one section of the "tent" poles, they fit. Not a super hard fix, but I should not have to change it at all. Work on your QC guys.2. After about a week, a section of both poles broke off inside the metal connectors (which is not fixable). It's not just sitting in my yard in a pile...3. I bought this one because of price and the fact that it said "portable" because I wanted to take it to games for my players to warm up with. It's not nearly as portable as some of the other ones. You can definitely take it down and move it when needed, but it's not the quick, foldable kind that I was really looking for. You basically have to take out all the poles, and then re-thread them at your location. Sure, it doesn't take a super long time, but I was really wanting something that folded up quickly. It's a super cheap option compared to some of the other items, but cheap still isn't good enough if it doesn't work. If they would use better poles, I think it would be fine for a stationary thing to keep in my back yard, but now we can't use it.

Definite purchase if you’re looking for a golf net
Brilliant item. Arrived early from overseas. Bit difficult to put up if you’re on your own but works perfectly for practicing the golf swing.

Self-destruct after 4 months
I really loved the product in its first 4 months, because it stood the wind really well and was very portable. I left it in the backyard, and we only moved it when we mowed the lawn. After 4 months, the middle part of the bottom frame started to burst out. Within 3 weeks, the connecting rods came out and made the bottom frame look like a triangle instead of a semi-circle. In addition, the front strap on the ground tore itself away at the left corner. I believe this was due to inferior materials and the whole frame being designed too tight. I checked the warranty immediately, only to find that it has a 90-day warranty. I think the manufacturer knew that the product could barely last for more than 3 months! I only used the net to practice golf using plastic balls about once a week. I wonder if the net could even last for 3 months if I gave it more stress by hitting real golf balls. The damaged areas are shown in the attached photos (I tied the broken strap at the corner).

Good for the price
This is a great product. It is compact when packaged and huge when constructed. This will save me money on the driving range for sure! After owning this for some time I have amended my review. For the price this is an ok product but I had a grommet pop the other day. Build quality could be better. The functionality is still there but no one likes when something breaks so soon.

Excellent Product!
I purchased this net to work on my golf swing.I have been very impressed with this product. The assembly is reasonably efficient, with set-up taking about 15 minutes. The net can be disassembled in about 5 minutes. The net has been used on four occasions since purchased a little over a week ago. The net has been very durable and appears to be of a very good quality. With the price of range balls around $10 a bucket, this net has already paid for itself. The fact I can work on my swing in the convenience of my backyard has been a great benefit. As an added bonus,my ball striking was vastly improved in the round of golf played since using this net as a training aid. This product has been excellent. I am pleased with my decision to purchase this net.
