Darice 1/2-Inch Twig Garland, 15-Feet

I used this as a border around my bathroom mirror. I love the way it looks. The thickness of the vine is perfect. There are thin twisties throughout the vine keeping it together that blend in. After I cut the amount I need for the mirror, I had about two feet left over.

Pros:-Looks great, not cheaply made-Shipping as promised, sufficient packaging.Cons:-The wires holding this together were so rusty that they shed red dust from the lightest breeze. This was significant enough for me to think twice about reordering.Notes:-Cannot be pulled apart into separate strands, unless significant damage is done to vines.

The product arrived as promised quickly and well packaged. The vines are a consistent thickness and quality throughout. I'd ordered several as I had a large project. The vines are coiled and dried for delivery, making them somewhat brittle and very 'curvy', if you're looking for a straighter line with these items I would recommend soaking them. I wanted the more wild look, so for my project they worked extremely well.

I purchased the Darice 1/2-Inch Twig Garland, 15-Feet to go around a small, 4.5-foot Christmas tree that is decorated with birds, bird nests, pinecones, etc in a woodland theme. The garland arrived in a sturdy box and was coiled into a circle and tied together. After unboxing and untying it, I soaked the whole thing in warm water for several hours so as to make it more pliable. I noticed that it seemed shorter than 15-feet but didn't want to risk breaking or damaging the garland until it had time to soak. After removing from the water and allowing to dry on a towel, I stretched it out and found that it only measured 9-feet long. Very disappointing as I really needed at least 12 or 13 feet to completely encircle my tree several times. The garland is well made and held up well as I put it on the tree, but my two star review is for the missing 6-feet! Definitely need another piece for the tree to look finished!

15' of twig vine allows for lots of crafting. Vine comes wound and wants to maintain that shape. If you want to use as garland simply soak the vine in water for a couple of days until it is saturated and then unroll. Dry fully extended with weight on each end. It will then stay unfurled. Happy with this purchase

I bought these to use in a wreath project and I need a lot of straight 20 inch pieces to make the shape I want. First of all, these are just basically sticks held together with rusty wire and curled up. They are insanely difficult to uncurl without everything snapping. There are actual leaves still on some of the sticks. I am going to try and make it work for what I am doing, but I would honestly be better off just going to my backyard and getting sticks from there. I wouldn't purchase this if you're hoping to do anything straight with them.

To get it to uncoil, soak it overnight in the sink and then spread it lengthwise to dry. It does straighten out though not completely. Looks lovely with white LED copper wired lights wrapped around. Warning: It's a cat magnet.

I ordered 15 of these. Yes, it is hard to unravel from a circle to measure, so not sure if someone wanted to use it stretched out. Probably would need to bend it in certain places to make it work that way. Lucky for me my final form was in a circle so it wasn't much of a hassle for me. This was used for an Easter Experience where those going through it would wear a crown of thorns so for me it worked absolutely perfectly. The grapevine is high quality and authentic in nature so this is a high end quality product.

Ok but not what I thought,...can't really take it apart to make a grape vine ball...it basically twigs wrapped in a garland as its description states....will be able to use it elsewhere.
