Solid electric grinder, exceptional customer support
This is a very good mid-range pepper grinder and worth the price. Easy to fill and easy to insert batteries. It is an attractive stainless steel grinder with a push-button that is very easy to operate, even for my 87 year old mother. The ground pepper is satisfactory - it is not completely uniform in size, but it's pretty darn good for a grinder in this pricerange, based on my experience with two other electric grinder brands. The Eukein customer service is excellent beyond belief and that's why I give 5 stars. The first Eukein grinder I received did not respond after inserting fresh batteries - nothing happened when I pushed the button. I emailed Eukein and to my great surprise received a response within a couple of hours with a link on Amazon to purchase a new grinder for free. All they asked for was the Amazon order number, and I had a replacement 2 days later. As easy as that. This is in contrast to the broken electric grinder I was replacing, which had stopped grinding after 2 years. It was an expensive French model that cost 3 times more than the Eukein, and had a lifetime guarantee. I emailed the French company and it took 3 days to get a response. I had to first provide a screen shot of my original order, which luckily I had saved, and photos of the grinder from several angles, and the result was they told me that I could mail the broken grinder to them at my expense, and if it turned out to be the grinder mechanism they would repair it and send it back. Otherwise I would have to pay for the repair. At that point I decided to just purchase a different brand and picked Eukein based on the review. The Eukein gets such high reviews because it's a decent, solid grinder, and you know that if you have any problems, they will step in and fix things.

Great for peppercorn, and great for himalayan salt
So I bought 2 of the Eukein Automatic Electric Salt and Pepper Grinder back in March, so I've had them roughly 5 months now. if I were to write 2 reviews the first would be 5 stars for use with Peppercorn, it allows you to adjust the weight and grinds easily with little effort. It's Fantastic for peppercorn. However....for every good side there is often a bad side. My star rating for use with Himalayan Natural Unprocessed Cooking Grinder Salt would be a 1. It just doesn't grind the salt, I've tried several adjustments and the only setting that works is the one that basically allows entire crystals to fall through, which is waaaaay too much salt and is over powering. When adjusting to a finer setting it just hangs up, clicks and won't grind the salt. I've actually stop using it for salt, because it just doesn't work properly. Again, for peppercorn this is your grinder. After the above review I received communication from Reese with their customer service. He apologized for the issue with the one grinder and sent out a replacement immediately! The new grinder works perfectly with the salt now. I've changed met rating to 5 based on the level of service I received from Reese.

great product, easy to use.
easy to adjust, lightweight. the light is a nice touch. grind is consistent. good capacity. the only thing I would say is that the locking mechanism is not secure enough. i'm referring to how the grinder comes apart to replace the batteries or add pepper. it is a simple twist, of about a 1/2 inch, to access the batteries / pepper fill. it's easy to come loose and the upper outside shaft is left in your hand while the main body falls in your food.update !!!. I found the problem. the outside barrel had a break in the locking mechanism. most likely due to shipping. contacted the seller, 1 year unlimited warranty, they gave me a coupon code for free replacement. awesome customer service, fast email replies, no questions asked. the new pepper mill feels really solid now. changing to 5 stars

Was 5 star. Motor quit on 7/6/16. Eukein quickly provided replacement
On 5/14/16 I ordered my first Eukein grinder because my arthritic thumbs could no longer turn our course pepper grinder without a lot of pain. I loaded it with Energizer Alkaline AAs. I used a small funnel to load the peppercorns and it loaded easily. The first one did a great job of grinding peppercorns - fast and course - the way I wanted it to. The actuation button on the top is easy to use, and the grinder is easy to grip. My wife liked the looks and had me order a second one to grind pink Himalayan salt. It grinds very fine if you want it to and at a nice rate. We like their performance, and they look nice on the table as a set. The cap on the end is useful to grind and hold amounts you want to measure. I will update this if I have any substantive change. Works well with peppercorns and pink Himalayan salt. Two look nice on the table.INFORMATION:After putting in batteries, I spent a few minutes trying to follow the written instructions for reassembly. Then I realized that there was a much easier way to get everything aligned and together. The pictures are OK, but the steps #4 and #5 need a step 4a to read something like:BEFORE you try to fit the top stainless steel tube to the bottom acrylic and stainless piece, fit the inner black battery holder/motor onto the acrylic piece, matching up the posts on the battery holder with the holes in the clear acrylic piece. Then you can easily fit the top stainless barrel onto the acrylic piece and rotate it to lock it in place. Also, step 7 says “Under the bottom of the pepper mill is a screw. The screw can be turned to adjust how finely the spice is ground.” The particle size adjustment is not a screw. It is a black plastic "wing nut.” The wing nut can be unscrewed a bit lower than the end of the post for a very coarse grind, but will need to be screwed back even with the post for the grinder to sit on the endcap correctly. I advised Eukein about these minor points, and they responded immediately that they will revise their next batch of manuals.Update: On 7/6/16 (less than 2 months) the motor on this one quit. The light still works. I checked the Energizer batteries, and their voltage was still above 1.5. I installed fresh Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries, and the motor still did not run. I sent Eukein an email to their [email protected] and will update this when the problem is resolved. 7/7/16 Eukein's support email was not working, but their contact form worked on their website, and today (within one day) they sent me a code to order a replacement (Prime) from Amazon. Will put this back at 5 star in a month or so if I do not have any more problems.
