Great Find
Where has this been all my life? The details: I was disappointed with pocketed section at first. The pocket section did not hold credit/bank and grocery cards as shown in the picture because the way the pockets are sewn. Maybe my bag was sewn differently than the one shown in the original photo, but if so that it Ok, I still love my purse. Will do my best to describe how my pocketed section is: the pockets are not wide enough to hold standard sized credit/bank cards horizontally. Put in vertically, of the eight pockets available the bottom pockets are shallow enough to hold the credit cards vertically without disappearing. Because the pockets get deeper and deeper from third row up, once a card is inserted vertically— because of how deep the pocket are the cards just disappears and that is just not going to work for me. I need cards exposed for easy retrieval. I found the bottom two rows are the shallowest and can take up to 8 cards stacked vertically, which is way more than I need, so problem solved for me. The deeper pockets, rows three and up, do work for Ipods and such, and my kid pointed out that was what the grommet was for in the upper left hand corner of the flap in front of the pockets; to run ear buds through as the Ipod is stashed safely in deep pockets inside. There really is no place for cash, change or a checkbook in the pocketed section, so I keep that is my secondary wallet in the middle section. . To the right of the pockets is a large pen holder and above the pockets is a clip for holding keys which is handy. The pen holder is large enough to fit a pen and a crochet hook, or a slim screwdriver. The demo pictures do not show the sides of the bag which have two open pockets which are also handy. The pockets are not big enough to hold a water bottle, but big enough still to stuff a receipt or keys to free hands up fast. The back zips all the way open and is just big enough for toting around anything smaller than an 8 ½ x 11 notebook. A kindle, tablet, small notebook or sketchpad would fit nicely. The center pocket is roomier than it looks. There is a zippered pocket on one side and a zippered mesh pocket on the other. I fit my secondary wallet for my cash, change and check book, my bulky over-my-glasses-sunglasses, keys, cell phone, and other mis., and I still have room for more. My last purse was big, leather, heavy and bursting and whenever my child wore out and gave me something to carry I was crushing it into my purse, now I have the room to drop it in my new purse and not wreck my back from the extra weight doing so. Both flaps on the front and back are zippered and the pocket flaps are slim and are great for sliding in things like business cards, prescriptions, receipts, but not so big that it is too easy to over fill. A phone fits nicely too, or ear buds, etc. The bag is made of canvas so it is light to begin with, not like my leather purses I finally gave up on. Leather is beautiful but even empty the purses start off heavy. This bag completely full does get heavy, yet with the adjustable strap, it helps to be able to adjust the weight where you need it. Stuffed to max capacity the bag has a blocky and bulky profile, but granted it is packed full and has everything I need for the day and then some. Since it is canvas it is washable though I have not put through rigorous use or washing….yet. It appears to be well sewn and sturdy and the zippers glide smooth. And I love the zipper pulls themselves; they are not attached with open rings but a solid piece of metal; I know it seems like a simple detail but a zipper attached with any type of ring with an opening; even a split ring….and any zipper that is opened over and over will eventually fall off, I know because I have owned that purse several times. And if the zipper has a tiny pull it is hard to open for the hundredth time…again, I know I owned that purse many, many times. So yea, thanks for the great solid zipper pulls! The only downside to this purse is not glamorous; and that is what my secondary wallet/clutch that I keep inside the center section is for. Even then unless it is truly a gala event, I am not sure I’d care, I really love this purse. Great purse/messenger bag/travel bag; looks great, when it is not stuffed to max it so light, reasonably priced, made well, shipped quickly and definitely recommended!

Impressive little bag. Reccommended.
This is an impressive little bag. I just received it so this review is based on first impressions and initial packing. I'll update once I use it.I travel a great deal, mostly within the US coast to coast, but also some long haul to Europe and China. My comfort while en route is paramount for me so I try to pack not only light but efficient. I want my hands free while in the airport and I don't want to have to fight for overhead space if I don't have to, but I also want what I want while traveling and I've gotten my needs down to a comfortable minimum.Within the US, I can pack all my carry-on necessities in my ExOfficio Men's FlyQ Lite Vest Light Khaki, Large and my hands are free. It's a great vest and I like having everything at my fingers. On long haul, I carry more stuff that I don't want to check, so a bag is needed. I have tried a variety of backpacks and messenger bags, but I find them too bulky and too heavy once they are packed. I feel like a sherpa heading up Everest. If I can't get, or I give up, overhead space (Yes, I try to be considerate of others and I will put my small bag under my seat so someone with a suitcase can fit it in the overhead), I don't want the space under the seat in front of me taken up with a bag because I like to stretch out.So I've been hunting for a small bag that I can carry-on that will hold my stuff and I can wear messenger bag style. So far, this looks like it will work well. It seems well made. The zippers glide easily though a bit of wax would help. The stitching looks solid and the canvas is sturdy. Because the bag is light and material is thin, I can load it up.I packed a 10 inch Samsung Tablet in the front sleeve and a Kindle in the auxiliary sleeve, a Nikon D7000 with a 135 lens, two spare LiON batteries, a neck collar and eye mask in the main compartment, several cables and two international plugs in the zippered compartments in the main compartment, and hand wipes in the zipper compartment in the flap. I still have room for snacks and other essentials. The fully packed bag is well balanced and carries easily. What's especially nice is I can kick this under the seat and still have room for my feet or in the unlikely scenario I get a bulkhead seat, I can easily jam this into a crowded overhead bin. Win, win, and win.The only three nits to pick (and I didn't nick any stars) is that the opening to the main pocket is a little small. I can get my camera in there, but it's a squeeze. No way will I be pulling it out for a quick shot. I wish is opened a bit wider. The other is the fold over flap is velcro, which I'm not a fan of. No one wants to hear "SKRRRRCT" in a plane when they are trying to sleep. I'd prefer a different clasp and I may add something else. Finally, it doesn't look like it's water proof or even water resistant. I may treat it with some silicon spray just in case I get caught in the rain.I also looked at the Rothco Brown M-51 Engineers Field Bag which is a bit more and I think a little larger, but for $25 on this bag I can't go wrong and neither can you.
