Universal Studios Wizarding World Harry Potter Animated Sorting Hat New with Box

Many well done reviews on quality and joy with the hat...I would add only the fact that I bought the hat to Hack it and use it at a client event with a Harry Potter theme. The hat is very well made and an engineering marvel of inexpensive internal design and componentry. I needed the hat to work as delivered if I could not figure out the electronics. Unfortunately, the core of the components were encased in the structural compartment holding the servo that wiggles the hat, so I stopped at breaking into that. It was a big hit at the client show!

I wish I would have read all the reviews because I wouldn't have bought this. It says the same 5 things in sequence each time. I thought the responses were random to make it seem like the hat was actually sorting into the different houses. Very disappointed especially for the price. I won't even be using it for the party I bought it for. I would give it a one star but the hat does move and work.

Like the product... no instructions.on box it says turn on & put on head.Did that didn't work..Found some button on rim, uh huh... works gr8. Will be a big hit at Potter Halloween party. Problem with deliverey went to wrong house. Thank goodness I have honest neighbors.T hey returned it to me.

This hat brought so much fun to my party. I don't think it's the voice right from the movie, but it was so close even the bigger fans didn't notice the difference. And it fits the biggest of adults heads, although I believe this product is geared towards children.

Works very well with brand new batteries. Old batteries will not do the job. Fortunately it comes with batteries. Houses are named in the same order every time.

Its more expensive here than doing on the universal website. But i love the talking, face moves. Wish it fit better on adult heads and wish it had more variations in the talking but still love it.

Daughter loved it. Made for a great prop for her birthday party and then a gift to her. The motor in the hat makes a loud clicking noise at times so that's a little disappointing.

Loads of fun and a great conversation piece. My husband loves this. He has his work cubicle decorated with HP stuff and all the staff just love it too. It has approximately five sayings, tells you which house you will be in and has the animated motion similar to the movie prop. It's not exact but that's okay, it works for us. I would recommend it. It fits on an adult size head and would probably be larger on a child. It really is a fun collector's item.
