I am a left leg amputee. I am also a nurse. I’ve researched and sat in many chairs, and this chair by far has performed better than any I have test driven. My seller was amazing, super fast ship. You should know the batteries come separate from the chair. The batteries will come in a smaller package typically from a different shipper because I didn’t know this at the time. Batteries require special handling which makes sense. My chair arrived in pristine condition. This chair MSRP is $4000, I got mine for 2500 including batteries. You can purchase an older chair on marketplace or eBay but you never really know how old they are just by looking at them. And I am dependent on a motorized appliance. I need to know how old they are and I need to know that I can trust them. I do have an older hoveround that I purchased on Facebook marketplace, I don’t trust it enough to leave the house with it. These appliances can look new and be 15- 20 Years old. And I have had scooters just die on the sidewalk. If you’re having second thoughts if you’re really not sure let this be the notice that helps you make that decision. Because for me this was a very good decision. Two motors, a comfortable seat, and no jerky movements from the controller. Best to you.

This Hoveround has been such a disappointment, we have not had it but a few months and we have hat to replace all tires, and now it has electrical problems and its costing over 900 dollars for a service person to come out and fix it. DONT BUY THIS BRAND

Too slow. Not 12 mph as stated. Maybe 5 mph

missing parts

This version has many issues with it. My first hoveround was purchased in 2009 and is still working without any major issues. The one I puchased in 2017 has had many problems with the motor mounts breaking which causes the wheel cover to rub against the tire making it necessary to also purchase a new tire. I cannot get anyone to return my calls to discuss these problems. Also to replace batteries you have to take whole back and seat off to remove battery cover to replace batteries . Very poor design. My older model was much easier to change out batteries. I am no longer recommending hoveround to anyone . I am looking into other brands for when my insurance will pay for a new chair this September of 2022.

Well amazon pricing is questionable. Invoice included with paper work showed 2595. Price vs 2995. What amazon charged. White glove service included in 2595 price, so watch that. People I talked with at hoveround all sounded dumb when it came to product and phone numbers. Ron who delivered and setup unit was the best! I got reclining 17” seat and after 3 weeks, it feels like it conforms to my 175lb butt with no room for improvement, how long before needs replacement? Touchy joystick turns on a dime but wrong touch, it will have a mind of its own. Thresholds could be a problem, I made own ramp(s.) cruises great around house, perfect!? Goes slow for tight places to get thru.Very quiet and drives are powerful. Battery life perfect right now. Arm rest quite nicely done and comfortable, foot resets good size. Safety wheels work perfectly. Smooth rides overall, 5 star there! Stylish for power chair. 4 Star only for seat’s questionable life. Yes buy hoveround!
