They are made of PLA corn-starch so yes they are biodegradable.

Not sure but I'm pleased to use a product made from plants and not plastic regardless of where its made.

We don’t have separate compost trash. Will these breakdown if throw them away in a regular trash bin?

The conditions in landfills don't even allow food to breakdown, thus creating methane gas that's killing us. however it's definitely better than plastic. so yeah, buy them.
