Unhappy. I purchased through Amazone and when unit arrived it had shipping damage to side of black casing. I had unit installed by licensed plumber where my old ice maker was. Unit did not make any ice and did not even make any sounds showing it was on. I had to pack it up and send it back in original box. Received refund less a few dollars. I can not recommend this unit.

While the machine was rather easy to install - I had a plumber do it, there a re two drawbacks. 1) the ice cubes are released connected in sheets, requiring ypu to chopthem apart before using them. 2) there is no place for the ice scoop to be stored either on a side - as on my former ice maker - nor on the door. It is running well, and makes plenty if cubes the size I prefer.

This arrived fast and perfectly by truck. No hassles and under the counter very quickly. Connecting the waterline was no problem. I was doing a re-model but actually put this in myself. It looks every bit the part of a serious ice machine. I ran it for a few cycles to clear out any dust that usually sits in the unit. It started cranking out ice very quickly and filled the bucked in less than 45 mins. Seems like it would easily make 50+ lbs if need be. I will soon putting it to the test when I have close to 30 beverage-loving friends over. I was considering a Scotsman built-in but just couldn't pass this up at slightly more than half the price. Absolutely pleased with it so far. The noise is average for a stand alone ice machine. Well worth it.

Item works great makes ice like it suppose to, but if you are installing it with the drain of the ice machine below your sink drain (under cabinet installation) it will drain on your floor. The drain is a bad design! I have mine mounted under the counter and the drain hose routes upward to the sink drain port and all it does is fill the hose and once the hose is full it then fills the ice machine then once bottom of the ice machine is full there is only one other place for the water to go and that's on the floor. Not happy abt that! It should have been designed with some sort of small automatic pump with a small reservoir if mounting below drain. Gravity just don't work in this case.

First, this "outdoor" icemaker is only for use INDOORS as per the manual. Additionally, the ice compartment is NOT a freezer. This is not mentioned in the Amazon listing - it is only referenced in the manual. Thus, the ice compartment is always melting. The machine does not make cubes, it makes sheets of ice that is very difficult to break up. Finally, the first batches of ice sheets were almost black. Now after 6-8 rounds, the ice is light brown in color. I filed a claim with Amazon under their A to Z Guarantee to take this garbage away and refund my money since the seller wants to charge return shipping and a 15% restocking fee. Are you kidding me? This item should not even be permitted to be listed on Amazon. It is the biggest waste of money. No wonder it was only $1000 instead of $1900-$2400 like real outdoor icemakers.Finally, the ice is NOT clear. It is cloudy (yes I can tell with the light brown ice it makes). I have an ice maker in my kitchen built-in and the ice is crystal clear. I specifically bought this ice maker for my new outdoor kitchen.

This machine makes great ice. It is a bit louder than we would like; if I had a choice to replace with a quieter machine, I would.

Working great! Makes plenty of ice. Installs easily. Made sure the drain line drained down ... worked out fine for us but could see where you would need the pump if you are unable to install into a drain pipe basically at floor level.

Ice melts very quickly! Has to make ice continuously.

The fine-tune controls are mounted on the back of the unit. If this unit is mounted under-counter, you have to pull the entire unit out to make adjustments to the ice quality because the control panel is hidden in the back. Very primitive and a giant pain because drains and supplies have to be readjusted to pull it out each time. The unit makes ice but it sounds like a 'blender full of gravel'. It's so noisy that you can't have a conversation in the same room. Very, very, disappointing. How does that somehow compensate you for buying their junk? Only 1-year old and it's pooched."Once burnt-twice shy".....I'll just throw it in the garbage and find a better one! Don't buy this.

Ice quality is good but machine does not make 50 pounds in 24 hours, hardly 30. Bin is never full in the morning

Good ice production. Shortcoming is the ice comes in chunks, may be this cud be improved by manufacturer.
