Single Drum Pedal (Quick-Kick Series) – Deluxe Double Chain Foot Pedal with 4-Sided Beater, Adjustable Power Cam for Pro Drummers

I've been a drummer for more years than I can count and have had many pedals over the years. I needed one for my edrum which is strictly for home use so I thought I'd try an inexpensive one for a change. After much shopping I decided on this Griffin pedal. I was surprised to see that it had many features found in the (way) more expensive pedals from DW and Iron Cobra for example! After using it a few times I can definitely say it's got the same feel I get from my DW 5000! Time will tell if it'll hold up but first impressions make me believe this will prove to be a great purchase!

Let's be honest...a lot of items are being produced overseas and its hard not to buy something american anymore. That said, This pedal is pretty good. I've been using it with a bell holder so it gets a normal workout. I've been a percussionist for 50 plus years and I've had some high priced Ludwig products ( when they were U. S. A.) I can't compare this to something made back then. You should know ( after about a month) I feel this pedal is well built for the average player. Great adjustments, solid, sturdy, and it looks good with no sharp edges. For the price, its a good choice.

I've just received this item this morning, and I must admit I was impressed with it. It replicates the style of some of the more expensive Pearl pedals and seems to perform similar too. It has great features consistent with those more expensive pedals too, like adjustable beater angle, adjustable pedal angle and a double chain drive action. It lost one star for me because you can tell it's a little cheaply made, but if you're looking for a practice pedal for a good price then I'm not sure there's a better option out there. Let's hope it holds out. Also, FYI, when mine turned up the beater holder looked as though it was solid on one end (thus making it impossible to actually height adjust it)...after about 5mins I realized it was just paint on the other end and it broke off after a couple of hard taps.

This definitely performs well above its price range. It has a ton of options, from the height and adjustability of the attachment mechanism to the customizable spring tension, the pedal is packed with features and is put together with a lot of heavy duty super durable steel. The bass plate can take a beating, and does not rise up or bend after prolonged use. The beater is substandard, but a quick switch got me the sound and feel that I wanted very quickly. Great buy!

I was actually really stoked about this pedal. The functionality was pretty good and overall build seemed pretty solid up until last night during the show when it snapped in half. Granted I've had it for over a year now but I've never had this happen even with cheaper pedals. I guess you get what you pay for. If you plan on buying this pedal I would not take it to any gigs if you do not have a back up.

I watched alot of reviews,,for me the price is very resonable,,i had a cheap pedal ,could not get doubles or triples with it,,i can now,,highly recommend this pedal,,American made in Texas,,if it breaks buy another for the price you can buy 2 ,,i have found in my life ,,what is good for me is not always for the next guy or vice versa,,it has to work for you,,great buy,,thanx Mr, Griffin for a good product which does not break the bank,,Crip in Ohio

Double chain, fully adjustable features and well built. I use on my Alesis electronic drum set at home. Not sure how well it would hold up if I were a traveling gigging drummer.

You can change the Mallett beater (ball/head) to get the best beat-base sound to fit the song. I keep an assortment of different sizes. That peddle model makes it fast to do.
